Feeling better!!
I am just writing a little note for encouragement.I was helped by people on this board when I was first diagnosed 15 months ago with PA and Hashimotos and had a TSH of 118 ( yep 118). I know I am a very short way into my journey but I feel like I have come on leaps and bounds. I have a TSH of 0.46 and

WARNING for dog owners - Vitamin D
I've just started taking Vitamin D3 high doses, and I know many on here will be on them. PLEASE KEEP THESE OUT OF REACH OF PETS!!! My Standard Poodle consumed about 45 x 5000IU capsules which my vet said would have been fatal or caused severe damage if I hadn't got him there so fast. They induced vomiting

Hi all. Today i have been discharged from the hospital as i refuse to take statins. I was blatantly told that their job is to prescribe medication and if i refuse to take it, they will refer me back to my gp who can monitor my cholesterol via blood tests. Fair enough but before they completely remove

Vitamin D3 Supplement Issue
I was told by my doctor to supplement D3 (5,000 IU), but when I do, my body starts feeling so weak, like I have no energy. It even happens on smaller doses too. I’ve tried several different brands, but all give me the same feeling. Any suggestions?

Hi, I was diagnosed hypo in November last year - very high antibodies, so have Hashimoto's. I've had 1 increase in levothyroxine (now on 75mcg) and my last thyroid results are: TSH: 2.2 (0.4 - 4) FT4: 20 (10 - 20) FT3: 4.9 (2.8 - 6.8) This is a massive improvement on original results (TSH 160, FT3 <0.1

Advice please!
Hi I have had PMR for many years now and I am sure it is stress related. Almost a year ago I had to have a total hip replacement due to avascular necrosis. The femoral head had disintegrated and I am now a mix of titanium, porcelain and cement. Unfortunately the op left me with sacroilitis and the PMR

Vitamin and Mineral Supplement Suggestions
Hi everyone, I went to see my GP last Friday with my Blue Horizon results (in Bio). She agrees autoimmune thyroid disease but said my TSH wasn't hugely above range (along the "nothing to worry about" lines) and my T4 is "fine" so she won't medicate straight away as I'm "too young" (ahem...31!) and being

Reducing Pred and taking other tablets.
Been to see rheumatologist today for all my test results post PMR diagnosis end of Dec17. Disappointed that the Biopsy for GCA is positive. But ESR has come down ‘significantly’ so the plan she had suggested is to reduce Pred from current 40mg to 20mg by the time I see her again in April. I. Worried

Balanced of course with the benefits to my diabetes, bi-polar and weight. I got the support to come off pred......because he was sure I
