Hi, I was originally diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in June last year. Following several visits to my NHS GP I eventually persuaded him my low energy and pains in my back were not general back pain, he agreed for me to take blood tests. These showed I had Hashimoto's and gave the following results

Goodbye Alendronic Acid
I was prescribed AA in Jan 2014 when my GP diagnosed PMR. Having started on 40mg Pred I reached 4mg in December. Iasked my GP about giving up AA, and she said no, so I asked for a DXA scan. This happened before Christmas, and I was told that the result would be with my GP in 10-15 days. Yesterday I received

Essential Vitamins for Emphysema
Hi All, I am 35 years old and have been diagnosed with moderate emphysema (FEV1 of 60%). I am curious to know what vitamins people take and what you regard as essential and what the benefits of these vitamins are? I currently take Vitamin D3 every morning and that is all. But have read posts that mention

Doctor's Best Vitamin D3
Has anyone had experience of this brand of supplement? In Jan 2017 my vit D reading was 63.4nmol/L. I started taking Doctor's Best 5000iu vitamin D3, together with Vit K2,on & off, not sure of what dose I needed but not wanting to overdose, with a view to increasing my vitamin D in line with recommendations

Good morning all. So I began my journey with PMR in July 2016, on 15mg which worked wonders. Since then I have been able to reduce down to 9mg which is where I've been for about 6 months. I have always split the dose morning and evening as I found at the beginning it wasn't lasting me 24 hours and would
