Cough
My husband has had a pacemaker fitted with a defibrillator a couple of weeks ago. He had a bit of a cough whilst in hospital but since got home his cough has worsened. The doctor said his chest was clear but the caught is wearing him out. Does anyone else have this? He's not on ace inhibitors as he's

My latest test results
These were done privately as my GP will only test for TSH and won't prescribe T3 TSH (High) 14.01 mlU/L Free T4 18.64 pmol/L Free T3 (low) 2.94 pmol/L I have left ventricular systolic dysfunction that has now developed to stage 3 heart failure so it's all really complicated.

Considerably reduced risk of stroke and death following ablation
Two very interesting reports on the effect of AF ablation: 1. Stroke rates before and after ablation of atrial fibrillation and in propensity-matched controls in the UK https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28615987 This shows a risk of only a third for patients who have had an ablation (0.64% p.a.) compared

Eliquis and Diastolic Heart Failure
I've been on Eliquis for 1-1/2 months. At first I was having a problem with low blood pressure. I noticed that 2 hours after I took Eliquis (5 mg.), my blood pressure would drop considerably, e.g. from 102/68 to 90/58. Now I'm noticing a trend where the systolic number will be normal to elevated and
