Does anyone know what Acute kidney injury on CKD means, my renal consultant put this on my letter to my Doctor.
I was referred for a KUB ultrasound scan, which showed several cortisol cysts. I saw my renal consultant at the end off December, who advised me about my diet and said he would see me again in four to six weeks, I had an appointment in March, which has since been delayed until April, i am a bit worried

NHS HEALTH CHECK HAVE YOU HAD ONE?
Adults aged between 40 and 74 in England invited for this health check. Local Authorities in charge of it seems it's a public health programme aimed at preventing and identifying individuals at high risk of developing or having heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, type 2 diabetes and certain types

What effect does the taking of neoral have on kidney function.
I had a liver transplant nearly one year ago. Since then my dose of neoral has been reduced steadily from 250 mgm twice per day to around 75-100 mg. This indicates how well my new liver is working. However my kidney function is slightly diminished and I wonder if anyone out there can give me information

What is Cardiac arrest ? Found this explanation in the copy of today's mail health section.
Medical terms decoded. This week: Cardiac arrest Very simply, a cardiac arrest is when the heart stops pumping. It is often confused with a heart attack (myocardial infarction - where heart tissue dies because it isn't getting enough blood) - this can lead to cardiac arrest, but not always. Cardiac
