Rant
Spent 2weeks in hospital end July early August with chest infection . Kept telling doctors my feet /legs were swollen but this was glossed over/ ignored. GP just done Pro BNP blood test which has come back abnormal (1148 ng/l) which I believe is high. He is referring me to Cardiology re heart failure

Antiarrhthmic drugs working great, but scheduled for ablation
Thank you to everyone for this wonderful forum. My husband, 56, started getting more and more out of breath and fatigued in November and December of last year. Finally he went to the ER (we are in the US) on January 2. He was in AF and his heart rate was 180 but they got it down to between 130 and

Chronic cough post-ablation
I had my cryo-ablation In early July. Since that time, I have had an intermittent, hacking cough. Sometimes it starts up in the morning when I wake up, other times it comes on in the middle of the day. I will have these coughing “fits” for several hours at a time. Anyone else experienced this?

Lack of iron
I know that this isn't directly to do with AF however at a recent visit to my aptly named Heart Failure nurse, it was discovered I am anaemic and require iron intravenously at our hospitals RAMU. I'm afraid that I contacted Doctor Google to see what it entailed and have gotten myself all worked up! Has

Dipyridamole & Aspirin combined Vs Apixaban
Hi guys, I suspect this is a bit of a different post to what is normally posted here. My Father has heart failure as well as Prostate Cancer. When he was diagnosed with AF he was taken off Aspirin and placed on Apixaban. However, two drugs that exhibit profound anti cancer effects are Dipyridamole

anyone have experiene with Wenxin Keli
I just read an interesting article about Wenxin Keli and Afib. Wenxin Keli is a Chinese herb extract reported to be of benefit in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac inflammation, and heart failure.[13] Wenxin Keli is composed of five main herbal extracts: Nardostachys chinensis Batal extract

Ramipril
I went into AF July 17 and had a cardioversion Jan 18, after which I stopped all meds but Apixaban. After recent breathlessness I've been prescribed Bisoprolol 5mg then saw a cardiologist who wasn't exactly a communicator. He's scheduled me for another cardioversion but meanwhile has prescribed Ramipril

Worried about other half
So after being diagnosed with AF and unsuccessful cardioversion, OH has taken Amiodarone for 18 months prior to ablation last November. Following ablation, he suffered with digestive problems. Continued to take Amiodarone til he started coughing & feeling breathless; he saw his GP who immediately stopped

Chest pain advice please
I’ve been on 75mcg since March and recently have had occasional indigestion type pain but on left side of chest. I was told that if any symptoms, to reduce levo. It’s taken 12-15 years to get 75 mcg and have had TPO ab 13000 until I went GF, now halved. If I go to docs they will stop levo or at least

Help with Blue Horizon results please
I intended to have a test done privately, but then I got rather poorly and ended up in hospital with
acute
renal
failure
, due to an infection caused by an unnamed virus. The hospital put me on Vit D.

Nightmare Holiday
Well just a week off my 3 month check after my cryo ablation most of you know about on 30th April this year, and it's hit the skids big time. Stupidly Booked a holiday to lanzarote as I have been feeling so well, and been here a week today, though spent the last 4 days battling a cold, throat and chest

High blood pressure after ablation
Hi All...I think I slipped back into A F yesterday, blood pressure very high for quite a few hours, light headed felt awful, bpm around 75 to 83 ...I don’t think it was erratic. Chest pain, which I think was my heart under stress...pretty sure I wasn’t having a heart attack. Tried to keep myself calm

after ablation
It is now 6 weeks and I can say I am still in sinus rhythm the only problems it has left me with is left sided heart failure and high blood pressure which hasn't stabilised and is consistently high. I am really happy to be in sinus rhythm but now face an uphill battle to understand the heart failure

Hi its Alice here , saw my gp yesterday who gave me water pills for my swollen feet ,anckles , I go for ecg on the 23rd Monday, I think ecg will be looking for heart failure, I am just thinking if heart failure causes fluid around lungs and heart ,and if I take the water pills now six days before ecg
