My name is Dave White. I'm a veteran of six years of dialysis. I received a kidney transplant from a deceased donor about two years ago, and I honor my donor and his family every day as a patient advocate and health care consultant.
I joined this group because dialysis kept me alive for six years, plain and simple. My mission is to help others lead happier and healthier lives. Hopefully my experiences can help others.
Dave, how can one become a patient advocate and health care consultant? I’ll be preparing for dialysis soon, as my transplant surgery was canceled recent. Hopefully I find a donor, but would like to give back in the same way.
Hi Dave! How are you a health care consultant? Did you receive formal education to do this and what type of employer do you have? Curious about this as I also think that after almost 16 years on dialysis I could help others in many ways and would love to impart my own experiences to give support and guidance to living well on dialysis or CKD. Thank you
