Burning Pain Above Left Knee

I have the same thing, just above my left knee. I normally check on the Mayo Clinic website for items. In this case it seems it MIGHT fall under "Meralgia paresthetica" and since I have not been diagnosed with diabetes, it is more likely that it was caused by an auto accident I was in about six months ago. I burning feels like a low level cigarette burn (about the area of a cigarette tip). Not severe but a little annoying.
