Was told i had
abscess
given 5 days of antibiotics 1 week later in a great deal of pain. Back to dentist had the tooth out. Pain still bad did everything that I was told to do. Back to dentist told I had dry gum and I had properly kept my mouth too clean. The hole in gum was filled.

Liver abscess and spiking temperatures
Sorry to pester everyone bit just wondered if anyone has experienced this. I'm on antibiotics for 6 weeks now as they can't drain it so close to the chirois and avms. It's so painful and one point my temperature reached 40.8? My consultant has also changed is this common? One of the nurses said they

Severe eye and gum pain
I also have terrible pain in and around the upper gum on the same side as the eye pain, this feels like I have an
abscess
on the gum although I don't. The pain in the upper gum in localised to a spot of around half an inch and is also painful to touch. Thanks Dee

Trigeminal Neuralgia, TMJ, or ???
My primary care physician basically stated that the CT scan they did shows minimal swelling of the lymph node and no sign of an
abscess
or cancer. From what I've read, TN is typically a sharp, sudden, 'electrical' type of pain.

I'm pleased as I've mentioned my health before and currently the hospital aren't sure if I have another
abscess
or a hernia so I'm sticking to 3 runs a week.

Flucloxacillian with Penicillin for abscess
Hi I am taking these pills for my charming
abscess
on my bum. Every since I took them, I am feeling aching shoulders, back and arms. Is this normal on these pills? Or again I am just worrying over nothing?

Mdt have looked at the scan of the lump that we originally thought was an
abscess
and all agree that it is most likely a granulated seroma - may have to have surgery to remove it if it doesn't resolve itself in the next few weeks. Am cautiously over the moon!!!!

This is it!!
I'll also find out what this lump (that wasn't an
abscess
) is. Managed to keep my mind off it all day but now it's all I can think about. I've successfully convinced myself that I still have OC. Guess tomorrow will tell!

Straight back into limbo!
Luckily got seen straight away but the surgical registrar cut into it only to announce it isn't an
abscess
. There is no pus or infection, a clear serous fluid came out and he can see some complex tissue.

Beware of Lying Down for Long Periods
The lying down caused a lung infection which caused a brain
abscess
, which burst and killed him. Why was he lying down for so long? Because the NHS took 18 months to diagnose and treat a herniated disc in his spine. He couldn't move for the excruciating pain.

Making A List And Other Stuff
He'll keep looking at his arm when he's had it done you know...half hoping there'll be an enormous blister or an
abscess
...even a bruise would do. Then he could say 'I told you so' with a clear conscience...

A weekend of vomiting
On Wednesday I had an emergency appointment for my dentist who confirmed that I had an
abscess
in my gum so I will be going on Tuesday for him to deep clean my gum. Just want to know if anyone has this problem with vomiting when they have an infection before it is treated.

Request for shared experience - brain abscess
I am recovering from a brain
abscess
and wonder if anyone would share what the recovery process was like for them if possible. I am tremendously tired and often have head pain and wonder if this is normal.
