My father died last week from lying down for 5 or 6 weeks. The lying down caused a lung infection which caused a brain abscess, which burst and killed him. Why was he lying down for so long? Because the NHS took 18 months to diagnose and treat a herniated disc in his spine. He couldn't move for the excruciating pain.
