Rare ovarian cancer
Just wondered if anyone has been diagnosed with a low grade steroid tumour of the ovary? It is very difficult to find any information as it is rare. I was diagnosed in 2017 and had a full hysterectomy. It recurred in 2019 and I had major surgery to remove 15 lymph nodes and it has just recurred again

Hi all Noti long after debunking had an incisional hernia also known as an eventration. The surgeon repaired it with mesh. The first time I sneezed hard it popped out so then he tucked it in and took tiny stitches and that was 4 years ago and still it lies flat and never a problem. However I blame the

Is HRT so bad?
I told a friend yesterday that I might need a hysterectomy (for Endo), and she said ‘oh I do hope not as you will be put on a very strong dose of HRT - surely there’s another option?’. What’s the big deal with going on HRT? Maybe I am not clued up enough but should I be more scared of it? I personally

hysterectomy advice
due for 2nd removal of endo tissue, and removal of coil as this didn't work. I had been given the decapeptyl injection which was wonderful and I was pain free for the first time in 10yrs. have asked for this injection again and refused due to my age (42) looking to see if anyone has fought for a hysterectomy

Left side pelvic pain will not go away
Has anyone dealt with pelvic pain on their left side that just will not go away? It gets worse with sitting, standing, bending, overdoing... I have had an ultrasound and CT — neither have shown anything; though the US was blocked on the left side. My OBGYN requested an MRI, but insurance denied it b/

Hello 👋
Hi all I’m new to the fibro group, as I only had a diagnosis last week… I think! The pain clinic consultant told me I have fibromyalgia, but I haven’t had a letter from him yet, so can’t call it an official diagnosis. Having since read everything I can (journals, research papers, NHS website etc),

Anyone else having a hysterectomy soon?
So I'm due into hospital on Monday for a complete hysterectomy. I've had 2 cesareans so I think I have a pretty good idea what recovery will be like. Praying that this will take the pain away. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone else would be having an operation soon so we could compare notes, swop

Does the Mirena increase PMDD symptoms?
Hi, I am a 45 year old woman who was diagnosed with PMDD in 2020. That same Psychiatrist recommended the Mirena to help manage the PMDD and the heavy periods. It did lighten the cycle with quite a few side effects including headaches, spotting every day for 1 year. My gyno has revealed to me that the

Decapeptyl for fibroids
Hi, I am six weeks into having the decapeptyl injections to shrink a 7 cm fibroid prior to surgery - myomectomy or hysterectomy. I haven’t had any menopausal symptoms and my bleeding has fluctuated the full time either light or the big gushes. I freak out as I was admitted in October needing blood transfusions

Diagnosed after laparoscopy, call for support and how to cope with work?
Hello everyone, First of all, thanks for reading and being active on this forum. It’s nerve-racking to write here for the first time. I’ve had a major health struggle the past year, been pushed and thrown around from doctor to hospital, and finally I’ve been diagnosed: endometriosis. My medical history

Hysterectomy
Hi, I’m booked in for a hysterectomy next month. Over the past 18 months I’ve had 2 laparoscopies due to cysts, and I also had one ovary removed. As much as I know the hysterectomy won’t cure my endometriosis, especially as it has also spread to my bowel, but it’s the next option available to me to
