I woke up this morning, got ready for my walk, made a coffee and started to go out for my smoke before I go meet my walking friend.. I forgot I quit. I was so sad and disappointed when I realized I had quit. It's a freezing cold beautiful morning, perfect for a ....Did some deep breathing and went for my walk. Okay now and glad Im not smoking. But I can't say I don't miss it. That would be a lie.

Hey KatNL - ahh, forgetting that you stopped is a classic feeling in the early days, I reached out from my box and lighter numerous times in the first month or so. I also thought of a having a cigarette after certain situations or occasions I came across for the first time smoke free 🤔 Below pinned post is worth a read if not already done so:

The feeling of missing out or missing smoking and sadness is perfectly normal too as you are going through the grieving stage of letting go of the crutch you had by your side for so long. Stay strong and keep the guard up at all times, you are doing great 💪🦋

Yes, Kat that is very normal. Just need to remain strong. It does get easier, though even after 3 years I seem to always be smoking in the dreams I remember.

I normally don't remember dreams, but when I do, I'm generally younger. So I think it relates to the past.

Need a time machine :)

I know exactly what you mean KatNL. I used to get these and they were the most deflating experiences....I hated them!

It does happen less and less as you go on.
