I have been smoking on and off for about 35 years. I once quit for 7 years, yep 7 years!!!, why would anyone start again? It can happen....not one puff again....this is a addiction from hell, and it's legal....so, I'm on my 4th week cold turkey, it is getting better. My first week, I was very foggy and didn't want to get out of bed. My second week I was very angry and emotional. My third week I was less angry and more depressed..... My fourth week, I'm not as depressed but kind of lost. When I quit for seven years, I remember feeling pretty good after 12 weeks....hang in there it is worth it, that's why I'm going to stick with it.....

Huge welcome to our community Tmac64 and congratulations on 4 weeks smoke free, well done!

We have had several members that relapsed after years smoke free, think the longest was 10 years :O . It can happen to any of us - I am over 2 years and stopped cold turkey too, was at a wedding yesterday and was talking to a friend who stopped a year ago, and asked how they were getting on and he said he would love a smoke at that moment and would love to be able to have 'just the one' - reassured him no such thing as just the one and dragged him out for a dance and he got over it :) The weak moment can creep up on us anytime.

We look forward to reading your progress, can you just confirm your stop date for your milestone badges...

Mine was exactly the same. Now Im addicted to my phone lol. Which isnt ideal but its a hell of alot healthy and cheaper. I hate the control aspect the most. Im abit of a control freak myself so for something to control me makes me mad 😤😤

Well done on getting the courage to quit again, now you know it really is 'one puff' and your back smoking a packet a day.

4th week, cold turkey and you are smashing it. Keep it up.

When your going through hell, keep walking
