Tuesday's Tip
I've read in Dr. Jones' book that often the use of light therapy has been shown to help patient's itching. It has been used for years in newborns to help break down neonatal jaundice. It's thought to break down the jaundice pigment in the skin. The trick is the decide how much sunlight or light therapy

Decioher .93 - results said Abiraterone was effective. Can people who use this enlighten me?
Husbands urology practice does surgery, radiation, ADT but does not list Abiraterone. Their website says they will refer us out if needing chemo. Thoughts?

Hair loss and buprenorphine tablets?
As you all know I have been on low dose buprenorphine tablets for one year & I simply cannot believe I have been free of the dreaded RLS for 12 whole months after 40 years of suffering. However, as we have all discussed I am invariably wide awake during 🤨the night & by the afternoons I simply have to

Sleep paralysis
Ive had a few episodes of this lately and havent had a problem in the past so could it be to do with my being on a low dose now of Prednisolone ? (4mg). Im presuming it’s sleep paralysis and it’s a bit scary. I hear a noise when Im asleep and think Ive got intruders so I try to wake up and I cant

Sun protection. Mineral sun lotion on a budget
Staying protected from UV rays is high on many peoples list this week, with layering and staying in the shade so important. I’ve read that mineral based sun lotion is better than chemical as it creates a barrier on your skin that reflects UV light so t hey don't absorb into the skin. Mineral sunscreens

L tyrosine
Since I know I'm chronically low in dopamine and that L tyrosine benefits me in other ways, I decided to try trickle dosing. I got some L Tyrosine powder from Bulk Supplements. Since I measure my water anyway (I live in the desert and it's pretty easy to get dehydrated here, so my best bet is to make

Is iron spray any good for night-time dosing?
Has anyone any experience with using iron supplement in spray format? Presumably you’d need a few squirts but better tolerated? Contains iron in the form ferric sodium edtate & ferric ammonium citrate.

I finally got my sublingual buprenorhine!
Hi everybody! Thanks to this forum I finally got a neurologist who was willing to prescribe me 0.2mg sublingual buprenorphine tablets. I've been on 100 tramadol for two weeks and was wondering which would be the wiser way of switching from one to the other and finding the right dose. I'm a bit worried

Thinking about trying Veozah. Is anybody aware of any drug interactions? I'm currently on Leuprolide and ABI plus prednisone.

Cellulite
Can underactive thyroid cause really bad cellulite on the inside of the thighs? It is travelling down almost to my knees, one thigh appears worse than the other. I'm not a big person. I'm only age 57 but my skin honestly looks like that of a 70 year old. I did read somewhere that it could cause it,

I can see the exit from the tunnel and the sun is shining.
it’s only taken 3 weeks after half a lifetime of RLS for 2 amazing medical professionals to get me on the road to recovery. Having spent over £1k in going in the wrong direction with private medical care I found a Consultant Neurologist, I should say a member of this form found him and passed his name

L-tyrosine causes sebaceous hyperplasia?
I take a hypothyroidm supliment that has L-tyrosine. Since I take it I got this acne called sabeceous hyperplasia all over my face and on my boob and under it. I read that L-tyrosine increases testosterone, which leads to PCOS (which I have) and sebaceous hyperplacia. Did anyone experience this? How
