Hi everyone, I've seen the torture and the pain induced by antipsychotic meds again, to me it waa like deliberate punishment and torture and for months nothing changed, antipsychotic withdrawals induced neuroleptic malignant syndrome s causing catatonic mutism, restless legs went into remission, now the medication cycles beings again, now back on Olanzapine and prozac, how many weeks before it all starts again?

Prozac make RLS worse. The only safe antidepressants are zyban, trazodone, Nortriptyline or moclobemide

Hi sueMy partner has to take thyroxine, it has interaction with the other antidepressant you mentioned. I believe aripiprazole would be more suitable, it's helped her get free of catatonia and reduce augmentation/mutism.

My partner had terrible changes to her medication before Christmas, , eventually her legs went back into remission, now my darling is in prison, she wasn't well enough to attend court and got arrested, placed back on the similar medication in prison that are known to induce the problem i think the issue are starting to begin again, i really hope she can get help, the hospital have made bad decisions and caused her suffering and suffering, staying in prison caused catatonic coma for weeks , was transferred to hospital, then returned to prison on these medications that cause impulse control and aggressive behaviour she eventually gets so restless on a similar combination of medication, stopping the madness is never easy.

Can you suggest methadone? The prison doctor will be familiar with it and it works very well for refractory RLS and will help get off dopamine agonists. If your partner suffered ICD on dopamine agonists, you can take legal action against the doctors who prescribed them, if they failed to warn about ICD and monitor it.

Has your partner ever tried natural desiccated thyroid instead of thyroxine, it contains T3 as well as T4 ? It worked for me although my RLS was not severe , mostly when trying to sleep at night.

No olny psychiatrists and dopamine inhibitors are given causing augmentation, solved in the short term by increasing olanzapine dose to 20mg this week, and soon refectory RLS will start again i suspect.

Good sleep hygiene is possibly helping

I hope she is getting iron supplements

I have done everything I can to stop the madness. Bit nothing changes yet.
