I take a hypothyroidm supliment that has L-tyrosine. Since I take it I got this acne called sabeceous hyperplasia all over my face and on my boob and under it. I read that L-tyrosine increases testosterone, which leads to PCOS (which I have) and sebaceous hyperplacia.
Did anyone experience this? How did you got rid of this acne?
The sort of supplement you're taking is always a bad idea. It's just a glorified multi-vit and won't do you any good, but could do a lot of harm. Stop taking it and the acne will probably go away.
It was recommended by my doctor. And yes, if I stop, the SH stops, but not completly. I already did that. And I don't know how to get rid of it.
Doctors know nothing about nutrition. Never take nutritional advice from one. Always check here. And we will always tell you that multi-vits are always a bad idea.
How long ago did you stop it? It will take time for it all to get out of your system and the sking to return to normal.
