Had doctors appointment this morning sigh

Had to see my doctor this morning they heard back from the neurologist. I thought they had written to the neurologist about me trying Targinact instead they asked him what he would suggest he has come back with …wait for it. .,.sinemetI told the doctor no no no and explained why. She was a really lovely doctor and listened to me and understood i did research and and knew a lot about RL and what was ok to take and what not. So now will write back to the neuro this time about the targinact AND the buprenorphine as i threw that med in the conversation. I did tell her i didn’t trust the neuro after he put my brother on 6mgs neupro patch. So another wait to see what the neuro decides. sigh

That is so discouraging but glad your doctor listened to you.

You poor love!

That is so disheartening, after all the work you have put in.

At least your doctor appreciates your research, and supports you.

Stick with it-- you will eventually get there.

And you are getting stronger and tougher each day.

My gran used to say---" what doesn't kill you ,make you stronger"

Sinemet?? Now there's a neurologist even further behind the curve than usual! Commiserations!!

Tell me about it. 🙄

This is utterly depressing.Sinemet is the WORST DA for Refractory RLS and has the highest rates of Augmentation.

Gawd, when will neurologists start to listen and learn???

I'm so glad your GP is listening.

Utterly frustrating! But your gp indeed sounds helpful. Hold on. And - always very welcome to vent.

Hi, have you found the trigger points for rls🤔

why don’t you change your neurologist. Having a consultant you don’t trust is not good.

Only one neuro near me. 🙁. I agree and so does my doctor on needing a neuro i trust. Will wait to see what comes back from the neuro. Then my doctor will help to try some one else if she can. She is on my side. 😊

This neuro is worse than no neuro. Even if you have to travel once to meet a competent neuro then you can get phone calls or emails. They will probably charge you for a consultation but you need someone whose advice you can trust.
