Fibro in left foot
Could it be due to plantar faciitis or a ganglion I wonder?
I agree with you that it could be plantar fasciitis, I currently have this in my left foot. It is very painful - this is the third time I have had this.
Hi joed I have this a lot & had for years on & off, I've had it so bad on occasion I've had to hang it outside of bed because can't stand cover being on it, cold flannel hanging over it. It feels like a tight band pressing on top bone, so i know exactly how you feel. As you say, it's hard to walk. But I also have nerve damage & arthritis as well as Fibro, so i always put it down to a bit of both. I only usually get for a few days & then it's onto the next thing lol the joys..
Soak in hot water & then a very gentle rub with lotion eases it a bit but like you, when it gets like that, nothing much stops it hurting tbh. Have you got a pain gel, I use movelat cream & that helps a bit too.
Luv Jan x
Also can try magnesium oil and/or magnesium tablets.
I have had this for some time now , I also have plantar fascia to really quite painful ,
Hi Joed
I have this pain too, I didn't know it was one of the trigger points, I was wondering if it was rheumatoid arthritis?. It has started to interfere with my walking, even though I have really good support shoes and recently bought arch supports to see if they help, I think they do a little.
I also use biofreeze and have magnesium oil spray. I find d soaking in Himalayan/Epsom salt helps. My foot has recently started tingling too along bottom of foot, which is a weird feeling.
Hoping you find something which works for you soon.
Carol
There are some online videos advising on treatment and exercises for plantar faciitis.
Hi joed
I really am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend, and I also think it may be plantar fasciitis? I have pasted below an excerpt form the WebMD cache on this issue:
*What are the symptoms of plantar fasciitis?
*The symptoms of plantar fasciitis include:
Pain in the bottom of your foot, especially at the front or centre of the heel bone
Pain that is worse when first rising in the morning (called "first-step pain"), when first standing up after any long period of sitting, or after increased levels of activity especially in non-supportive shoes
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken x
Hmmmmm. My neighbour - who also has Fibro, described a similar pain in her left foot last year. It turned out to be GOUT!!!! It still comes and goes - she's on NSAIDs and swears by Apple Cider Vinegar.
I have fibromyalgia and I have pain in my feet it varies with pain and I have been told I have artritus in them by the hospital
I also had this on the top of my left foot, i now have hospital prescribed insoles, they took a mould of my feet and the difference is amazing, the pain went days after starting to use them in all my shoes and slippers
Hi,I also suffer with very bad pain in both feet, the top of my feet ,and my big toes, had ex rays last week, but the doc says it's another symptom of fibro, plus osteoarthritis.
