First unsuccessful transfer

Hello all

I’ve just joined this wonderful group hoping to feel less alone in this journey. If anyone is out there who can provide some advice I would most appreciate it right now. Our story:

We’ve been trying almost 2 years to conceive our second child. Our son was conceived naturally after 1 month trying and is now 4 and a half years old. After 6 months trying we went to our GP as I was 35 and advised not to wait much longer. We both had the usual blood tests and checks done which all came back normal.

I had a scan which showed a polyp so I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to check my tubes last February. They removed the polyp and found grade 1-2 endometriosis which was removed. We were told to try for another 6 months but after no success we were told IVF we would be our only option.

I sadly began spotting day 5 after the fresh embryo transfer and my period came 2 days before test day. We have our follow up appointment in 3 weeks but I just want to know if there is anyone else in a similar boat or could advise on how we go forward. I thought the reason for my spotting which I usually get a few days before my period would be due to low progesterone but my levels came back normal. Sorry foe the long post. Thank you for listening 💖

Hi sorry about your failed cycle. As they say this is a long journey. Have you decided to try again using your frozen embryos?

Hi

So sorry I have only just seen your message. We did try again with a frozen transfer back in July but it sadly failed. We now have 2 embryos left from this cycle and we have been advised to transfer both. I have just began treatment for this transfer. Feeling emotional & anxious already x

It's a good thing you had those 2 embryos! Good luck in this cycle. I hope this is the one for you!
