Our first embryo transfer!

We just had our first embryo transfer. We set our hearts on two embryos and as we had 6 embryos on day 4, we thought that would be possible. However today the embryologist told us only one is in blastocyst stage and the rest are there but slow, two are at the stage right before blastocyst which is not bad...

They advise us to go only with the one as it’s our first round and I’m 35 years old. We suggested to wait till tomorrow to see how the rest doing but the embryologist advise us against it.

I’ve been told I’ll receive a call tomorrow to let me know how the rest of embryos doing and if they have developed to blastocyst and could be freeze.

I’m very negative and I can’t keep calm, I really hope our embryo implant, keep me in your thought and wish me luck.

Good luck! Just to reassure you I was only allowed one embryo transferred at a time (that's a good thing) and I'm nearly 39. Finally bfp for me.

Hi Mara84.

We nearly had 2 ready the day before transfer; but then we had only 1 embryo transferred as it was the best one, 3 frozen, the next day we got a call to have another frozen aswell.

Hi !

I had 5 transfers, everytime with 2 embryo (average quality) , all bfn. Last time i had one embryo who achieve blastocyst stage and my Doctor refuses to put 2 , he just wanted to transfer this one . I m 8 weeks pregnant for the First Time . You just need one . 🙏🏻 Have faith and believe ! It Will happen eventually . Best of Luck ❤️

Hi, thanks so much for asking, not a great news, non of our embryos made it to the blastocyst stage, thank god for the one we were able to transfer. I'm waiting to hear about progesterone level as its apparently very important.

yes dear, not what I was expecting. You know I was on diet to prepare my body no coffee or wine, lots of healthy eating, so I was really upset when embryologist told me the news. lets hope my one embryo would work. thanks again for asking.

My advice now is try and keep yourself distracted - the 2ww is a super difficult time, but stay positive that it'll all be worth it. Sending lots of love and prayers your way xxx
