Progesterone

I have been taking 50 mg IM progesterone daily and a 200 mg progesterone capsule suppository at night. This was the same regimen I did last time, but today my doctor checked my progesterone level and it was high at 59.

I’m on both progesterone pessaries (2 a day) and 2 lubion injections a day. I’ve had my progesterone levels tested twice at my clinic. Although the number had dipped on my second blood test, I was assured this could happen and my progesterone levels were still excellent.

In the past I had a medicated FET with x2 Cyclogest and x1 lubion which failed and my progesterone levels were >150 at the time so my worry was that high progesterone is not ideal. Has anyone had experience with high levels of progesterone like this? Thanks!

I’m keen to try progesterone therapy and have made a GP appt to discuss but I do feel a bit nervous about dropping the oestrogen patch. Any other hypothyroid women considering or doing progesterone therapy? Please share your experiences…

Hi lovely Ladies, I hope someone could help me to better understand absorption speed of progesterone injections. If 100mg Prontogest was injected once intramuscularly, after how long progesterone level in blood will reach maximum? 12, 24, 36, or 48hr?

I'm wondering what your clinic considers to be the standard hours of progesterone for a fully medicated frozen embryo transfer? I'm getting ready for my seventh transfer with my last good quality day 5 4BB embryo and I've been told 5 days or 120 hours of progesterone is enough.

I supplement with progesterone cream, I started this 6 months ago, I take my levothyroxine at 6am 150mg prior to starting progesterone my levels were optimal both T4 and T3 ... now they keep dropping since then, can continuously supplementing progesterone cause absorbtion issues???

Had a bit of cramping over a week ago but that’s stopped I am tired but is that the progesterone ?? I do appear to be dreaming everynight don’t always remember them and frequently peeing but is that the progesterone help me going crazy

As requested by the clinic, on the 10th day post transfer, I did a Beta HCG and Progesterone tests (test day), the progesterone level came back 34 nmol/L which I thought was too low. At that point, I was still taking my doses of progesterone.

Friday no change was required but just had a call after this mornings bloods and my progesterone has dropped from 212 to 149 so have to bring cyclogest back ontop of the prontogest injections. They will test again Tuesday. Am I worrying about nothing?

I had a blood test right after transfer, and they said either no increased progesterone will be needed if levels are fine, a 4th dose of Utrogestan if marginal, or maybe injections if low progesterone.

Hi everyone, I’m about to do my 7th transfer tomorrow and am on 4 estrofem, 2 progesterone suppositories a day (crimine) and progesterone injections (gemstone) every other evening. With every transfer I’ve experienced a lot of leg pain.

hi all, has anyone tested progesterone levels after a pregnancy test and had levels go down slightly without a bad outcome? I was 30.8 prior to transfer, started taking Lubion alongside utrogestan x 3 and on transfer day my levels were at 55.

I start Progesterone pessaries tomorrow and I have to take 1 in the morning a 2 in the evening. Has anyone else had this dose? I’m going to ring my clinic tomorrow to confirm but do you take the 2 at the same time

We are doing our IVF treatment abroad and I wanted to ask if any of you know a place in the UK (London/ Reading/ Oxford) that can do a private progesterone blood test with a 24h turnaround? If If I can get that done in the UK it would save me flying back and forth for my next transfer.

Hi, today i had my Beta HCG but the numbers are not good which is only 33.8 but my progesterone level is 70.4, I did 2 FET on 23/01. Does anyone has a successful cycle with low HCG ?

My liver specialist doesn’t really engage in these questions and I don’t know how much of a problem I may be causing with bile flow while taking progesterone and how much this may affect PBC. I’m taking 100mg micronised body identical progesterone daily which I only just restarted last night.

I’m on progesterone pessaries and Lubion so would expect the cramping and sore boobs to continue since I’m on so much progesterone? Trying not to think the worst has happened and waiting for our scan date is just such mental torture.
