Period like cramps after fresh transfer of 5 day blastocyst- is this a good sign? My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 years, we had just completed our first IVF cycle . We were fortunate enough to come out with five blastocyst, 1 transferred 4 frozen. This is my first time on a fertility blog any advice would be very helpful.

What a beautiful embryo!!💞 Its really hard to say what signs are signs of a BFP but it could be implantation cramps that you are feeling. Unfortunately a lot of the drugs especially progesterone has many of the same side effects as pregnancy which is hell!! Hang on in there & good luck!xxx

@Cinderella5, thank you for responding! And yes, definitely pumped up from all the hormones! Lucky I am on progesterone inserts so currently no injections! I am going crazy reading everything online! I really hope its implantation cramps. Our beta is set for 9/7/20. Seems like forever.

Welcome! Congratulations on those blastocysts - so reassuring to know you have some frozen 👏🏻

As Cinders says, I’m afraid that any symptoms you have could be positive ones or negative ones. And no symptoms could go one way or the other too. As if we don’t have enough going on to deal with!

You need lots of distractions until your OTD. My advice is not to test until then. It tends to cause more uncertainty. But I realised that’s very hard and many people crack. Best of luck and reach out again of you need more advice x 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thank you for the encouragement! We are trying to hold off on testing and just wait for beta! This is all so overwhelming but we are staying positive and hoping for our BFP after 6 years of infertility struggles!

I had period like cramps a few days after my 5 day blastocyst frozen transfer then no symptoms at all!

Thats exactly where I am. Period like cramps have stopped. We are 3dp5dt! I think the TWW is the worst part.

It really is the worst wait ever!! I found it sooo hard not to test early but at the same time I didn’t want to in case it was negative and then it was all over. Other than the cramps a fews day after transfer and some lower back pain I had no other symptoms and I am now 32 weeks. Wish you the best of luck xxx

That is so reassuring because thats what I expirienced. I know every journey is different, but it provides comforto hear similar stories that ended in success! Congrats to you and thank you sharing.

Girl you are almost there and your sweet baby girl is almost in your arms! And this is our first cycle as well. TTC about 5 years before finding out I had tubal blockages in both tubes. So we were great candidates for IVF based on age, egg reserve, sperm count etc. We will be so grateful if it works on our first round.
