Anyone had an ivf after Adenomyomectomy Surgery for removing Adenomyosis and /or large intramural fibroids?

Hi ladies,

I had an Adenomyomectomy to remove Adenomyosis together with Endometriosis’ removal, cystectomy, fimbrioplasty and Myomectomy ( removed more than 15 fibroids) to prepare my uterus for a frozen transfer.

It has been 3.5 month passed from my operation , they put a device similar to an IUD in my womb to prevent adhesions and I am currently on Decapeptyl ( similar to Zoladex) injections not having periods to help if any endo remained and also postponing of potential return of fibroids and/or endo. I aldo just started Add back therapy with estrogen and progesterone pills to prevent bone loss.

I would like to know if anyone had an ivf after Adenomyomectomy for Adenomyosis removal and what was your experience and how long after surgery you did have egg retrieval and/ or transfer an embryo? Was it successful?

I am asking bcuz my RE says I need to have at least 6 injections of decapeptyl after surgery ( I had 3 before that, would be total of 9) and wait until I get my period ( aproximately 2 months after last injection) to be able to remove IUD and get a sonohystogram to see if blood circulating properly in uterus. That’s when they will consider having emryos transferred. All these process together comes to at least 9 -10 months after surgery, I am not sure I can wait that long as almost all my life is now on hold for this FET to happen.

Also not sure of quality of eggs after being so long on GNRH injections if we want to do another ivf starting from scratch. If you had done egg retrieval after being on GNRH let me know.
