Era test

Hello all...my doctor is recommending an era test before my next transfer.. i hve a few questions and hopefully you ladies out here can help me with.

Did anyone got pregnant after doing an era test whereby transfer was adjusted accordingly?

Is era test painful or is it same as transfer pain?

After 3 failed ivf with blastocyst i have now two day3 embryos left..and am hoping after that after the era i use these 2 embryos for transfer. However my doctor is recommending to start the process of egg retrieval again in order to get blastocyst for the transfer after the era test.

So my third question is...anyone did egg retrieval and on same cycle did a transfer?

When i first did my egg retrieval process my lining was not thick enough for immediate transfer and had to wait for next cycle to transfer.so am kind of hoping if on same cycle we can do transfer.

I have so many questions which i will discuss with my doctor soon...but in the meantime am hoping for some answers here.

Babydust to all ladies here 😘

Hi. I’m afraid I can’t help with your questions but am interested to hear the responses because the ERA is something we have also been considering. Not sure whether your 3rd question also related to the ERA procedure - but if not we have had egg collection & transfer in the same cycle. Best of luck with your next steps xxx

Hi, i had one and found it a bit more painful than a scratch if you have had one? I was glad i did it as it showed my implantation window needed was 12 hours out so transfers were adjusted. We haven’t had any success yet but its another thing off the list to check x

Hi sorry to butt in here but I saw you'd had an ERA and I had one on Monday. Just wondering if the af you had after that era was lighter than normal? Did you start your next fet a few weeks after the ERA? I had light spotting after ERA for a few days, then nothing and then some heavier spotting two days ago but only when I wiped not enough to fill a pad and certainly nothing like my usual af. Ok many to go in on day 2 for a scan but I'm struggling to identify day 2! Is it common to have a strange lighter af adder an ERA? I don't wnt to miss out this cycle...Thanks

Hi, as far as i can remember i came on as normal, maybe give your clinic a ring and see what they say? Where they have taken the biopsy it might have caused some bleeding, hope you get ok xx

Hello,

I had Era test done and found it very painful for some reason, I was kicking myself for not talking any painkillers beforehand. And to answer your last question, I have never been lucky to have a fresh transfer due to hormone imbalances ... all my transfers were FET.

Have a great day,

Anna

Im having an ERA test tomorrow. I’ve been advise is going to be very painful during the procedure. Dr has given me 750mg of paracetamol to take before. Mine is a medicated mock cycle with estradiol and progesterone. I was recently told we only got three months after ERA is done to do the FET transfer, which is puzzling me as I have acquaintances that didn’t have this time restriction. I have asked my doctor and he says that’s what is recommended...anyone here also had this recommendation/restriction?

I had an ERA and a Hysteroscopy on Monday. I actually had to have it done under heavy sedation. It is two days later and I'm still spotting ever so slightly. I feel sore and crampy similar to egg retrieval pain the day of and after. I can only imagine it's pretty unbearable pain wise so I'm glad I was out for the count! Hopefully the results come back with something

I did an ERA test. Actually the test name is Endometrio test.... Mine was 3 tests in1.they tookna biopsy and tested for window of implanation, bacteria and infections I think. All came normal except the level of Lactobacillus in my womb was not the desired level. Thank God I did it as studies show this could have decreased my chances drastically. Iwas given probiotics.

As to your question regarding transferring embryo same cycle.... That won't be possible as biopsy is done same day as the embryo should be transferred.

Re pain.... Well it wasnt easy but berable.

Hope this helps xxxxx

I did same also...3 tests in 1. Hope my results also are conclusive.

Era pain was ok ok for me thankfully .

My ERA test have to be repeated as the sample size was too large and wasn’t preserved well 😣Dr said it was the lab (igenomix) faulty kit but I think that is not the case. I don’t believe every single gynaecologist takes the exact amount of tissue using the ERA test kit - it’s clearly a case of poorly performance on the part of the dr who did the test.. I was really upset as now I have to wait several months to repeat as I cant take hormonal treatment due to another medical surgery.
