Hello everyone, I completed my egg removal surgery in March (London, UK), but unfortunately couldn’t have a transfer due to a stimulation polyp in my uterus. I’ve been waiting almost 12 weeks for a hysteroscopy date, but the hospital keeps increasing the wait list, is anyone based in London also having the same issue? I just want to get back to my cycle and transfer an embryo ☹️

Hysteroscopy surgery
I ended up getting the polyp removed privately with my insurance (which I’m lucky to have through work) - it was far quicker. Unfortunately, it will not be a priority for NHS services, and they’re so overstretched at the moment 😔😔 I wasn’t willing to wait indefinitely. It’s so frustrating .
Hi Ladybird. All you can do is to keep in touch with your clinic and explain that you are willing to accept a cancellation. Good luck.Diane
I am not from your area but when was waiting for a hysteroscopy, at some point has started ringing every week asking to put me on a cancellation list. When took this approach, managed to get an appointment within a few weeks but they arranged it only a few days before. Might not work straight away but worth trying 😉
Thank you so much Lily_82, I've been calling the switchboard to ask for the day surgery department to find a cancellation, didn't even think of doing this! Fingers crossed 🤞😊
Hi, I googled waiting lists and hospital trusts and came across a phone number for admissions. I'm 44 so I do 't have time to waste but after being quoted £3k to have it done privately, I wanted to have a realistic idea of waiting time on NHS. I called the number 1 week after the polyp had been diagnosed and I was referred. They said too early, only just referred last week. I called again same day following week. No info yet. I called the third week, and lady said let me put you through to that team. The team then scheduled an appointment with me there and then. I'm due a hysteroscopy on 17th July and it was diagnosed on 17th May. If I didnt call i'm sure it would have been a longer wait. Call admissions, ask to speak to that team if poss or ask what hospital site it's planned for and then call the gynacology dept at where you are having it done. Good luck!
