Yesterday I had my eggs retrieval, we got 5 mature eggs and I'm still waiting for results.
As I suffer from endometrioma on my right ovary, I did a draining 3 months ago, my doctor want to give me decapeptyl injections, one this week and the other one in 4 weeks. And then do the frozen transfer.
Any one with endometriose had a similar protocol? I'm scared of this as he don't want me to wait for my period to come, he told me to do the injection tomorrow

I was on decapeptyl on my last successful cycle. I don't have endometriosis but I was suspected of adenomyosis hence the treatment. It worked really well for me even though i struggled to inject myself with it. In case you never tried it before be very careful is not easy to administer. I would suggest to go ahead with your doctor instructions. The injection will put you on "menopause" mode so a definitely good thing your body will rest a little, including your ovaries. My clinic also advises to go ahead with the treatment after down regulation even if your period didn't show up. Good luck 🤞😃
Thank you for this reply 😍, I hope this will work for me, as I have a history of reccurent implantation failure, 3 failed transfer from my first cycle , I changed the doctor and he suggested that after egg retrieval (already done) we do freeze all and give my body a rest, do a hysteroscopy before doing any transfer.
I did exactly the same freeze all, do PGS, hysteroscopy and finally FET and we been successful with twins - boy and girl...all we wished for...🥰 You are heading in the right direction, fingers crossed ♥️🤩
Unfortunately we don't have PGS in my country, I've already had 3 failed transfer with day3 embryos 8 cells.I was considering asking my doctor if I can take a low dose of cortisone the next transfer even if I'm not tested for NK Cells
Oh PGS testing is making your journey shorter from my point of view and less disappointments. Unfortunately as you mentioned not all countries are doing this. Also in UK if you do PGS testing you will know the gender, in Spain where we had our ones tested is illegal to know the gender. By the way I did NK cells biopsy and result came back normal but I was on steroids anyway on my successful cycle.
I was on an ultra-long protocol for my last fresh cycle, I had three injections four weeks apart. Arr you self administering? I had to go into the clinic to have it done by a nurse.
It's fine, you might get some menopause type symptoms but I found it manageable even doing it for 3 months.
Well it is a little complicated as I did get pregnant on the ultra-long protocol and then unfortunately had a MMC a few weeks ago and haven't got my period yet. Hopefully your FET would work and you won't get a period for quite some time!!
Oh hang on - I think I see what you are asking. You probably won't get a period before your FET - as far as I know you don't need one for them to start that (not entirely sure as it was a fresh stims cycle for me, so chack with your clinic). I had three injections and then they just started stims about 21 days after the third one if I remember correctly - no period needed.
I think it depends on the endometrial lining , anyway now I've already took the shot I will wait for the call to see how many embryos we've got, finger crossed 🤞
