good evening everyone, it is my first time posting I hope I am doing it right.

Please What types of vitamins should I take to improve my egg quality? I will be 42 in June and I want to try naturally if my frozen 6 days Embrayo doesn’t work . I have high blood pressure and adenomyosis and have had 3 miscarriages through natural pregnancy and 6 failed ivf transfer and 1 ivf daughter born 2018 the adenomyosis was diagnosed in 2017 after the 3 miscarriages

Hi sweethear,

I'm 41 (42 in July) and before my third cycle I took 75 mg DHEA for three months (apparently it only helps if you take it for a few months before starting) and 400 mg coQ10...

I also take the regular cocktail of folic acid, multi vitamin, omega 3 and probiotic... and vitamin d...

I rattled like a pill box but especially with the DHEA and COQ10 they're meant to improve egg quality for those over 40...

Have you talked to your doctor about what they recommend? It sounds like you have other aspects to consider with the blood pressure and endometriosis so it might not be the same.

My first two cycles I didn't make to transfer and we decided to give it one more go to see if we could improve quality so we waited for another cycle and went heavy on the supplements. I'm in the 2ww now after blastocyst transfer today day 5. So not sure if it works but the quality improved enough for me to get 2 more embryos, better quality on all 5, and 2 that were viable for transfer.

Best of luck to you 💕

Thank you so much for ur reply. I asked my doctor if there is any supplement I can take and she said none that there’s nothing that helps that if there is she would have told me. But I started on my own to take supplements because I have been reading about it here I am taking COQ10 600mg, vitamin D, vitamin C 3000mg vitamin E 800 IEand omega 3 fish oil 1000mg I will add the Dhea to it also

I’m also over 40 trying with my own eggs. In addition to the vitamins Minnesota is taking I’ve been taking Royal Jelly , spirulina and wheatgrass powder which are also supposed to help with quality xx

Hello :-)

We’re about to go for round 2 of Icsi and we were told to take Impryl (both of us) and a good probiotic.

Wishing you success with your cycle 💗 x

Hi.

I'm 39 and was TTC for a sibling for our 21 month old daughter( Francesca ( who took us 7 years of TTC and 3 surgeries to treat endometriosis)

To boost my fertility I took- pregnancare throughout my cycles, I took a all in one bee propolis, royal jelly and pollen throughout my cycle , I took primrose oil 1000mg and Mac's root until ovulation, I took low dose aspirin ( to suppress my endometriosis and nk cells) and flax seed capsules 1000mg from ovulation to test day 12 days post ovulation.

I ate plenty of folic acid high foods such a broccoli etc everyday.

I also drank 8 glasses of filtered water daily.

I ate pineapple from ovulation for 9 days as it can help implantation.

I continued my running as exercise is good for releasing stress and encourages blood to flow.

I am 4 weeks pregnant after having a chemical pregnancy last month and losing our second daughter Amelia at 20 weeks pregnant last November.

Good luck hope you are successful in your journey Xx

Hi! I got them online at BIOVEA and no I didn’t have any levels tested. I took them over the course of 3 months and wasn’t allowed treatment before that xx

Hi. Only take DHEA after your levels have been tested. My levels were normal and because the jury is neither here nor there on DHEA and it’s benefits;I insisted on having it. the cycle I took it for 8 weeks in total I had total fertilisation failure. It work for some and not for others. So get tested first. Also you need the micronised kind of DHEA.

I did it via my clinic. I tested testosterone too. And my clinic gave me the prescription for the micronised DHEA

Hi hun, unfortunately egg quality is very much linked to age and supplements don’t make a difference, your doctor is right. After 35 years of age egg quality declines quite badly and after 40 it is quite rare to be able to have a child with our own eggs. It does happen, but it maybe takes many many tries, tears and heartache. Wishing you all the best for your next step 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

Hi there

If you haven’t got it already I would strongly recommend you get the book It Starts with the Egg by Rebecca Fett. You can get it on Amazon and it talks a lot about supplements you can take for different infertility diagnoses. I was 40 when we went through our 3rd and final round. I also had stage 4 endometriosis and had had 2 laporoscopies in 9 months. I followed the supplement plans for endometriosis and advanced maternal age for about 2 months before that final round and ended getting the best results ever - from 6 eggs collected and 3 fertilising in the 2nd round to 16 eggs collected and 10 fertilising in that final round.

We transferred two and now have a 6 month old boy and 4 embryos frozen.

You are going to get a lot of conflicting opinions on whether supplements do work and it is also true that not all will work in the same way for everyone. I also agree with others that you should consult your doctor because of your other conditions. You wouldn’t want to take any supplements that are contraindicated due to other meds you might be on.

However I was sad to read the person who’s doctor told them nothing would help as I really don’t think that is true.

Wishing you all the best and sending love and baby dust 💕✨

Hi, congratulations on your fantastic results! I read the book and I am using everything except the DHEA. Last collection was 7 eggs. Did you use DHEA as well?

Hi there thanks and yes I did use DHEA and was fine with it. I know it doesn’t agree with everyone but I think it helped me.

Best of luck! 🙏🏽🍀✨

Hi I got it from a site called BIOVEA UK. I think it came from the states.

Have to put my hand up and admit I didn’t get my levels tested.

I took 25 mg 3 times a day for about 2 months.

Thank you so much, I will get the book as am afraid to take any wrong supplements that myth interfere with my body negatively I really hope and pray that I can get pregnant and carry the pregnancy to full time with a health baby I have till next year to try if after that it did not happen I will stop trying

Hey, along with all the other vitamin recommendations I would suggest melatonin tablets 3mg before bed! Someone above mentioned ‘it starts with the egg’ book also recommend this. Good luck x
