looking for some reassurance and info. Did you flare after starting prostap and if so how long did it last?
I’m on week four following my first injection and it’s been excruciating for the last 2.5 weeks.
I’ve got low add back estrogen patches and a mirena coil, whilst waiting for colorectal joint excision surgery. MRI is suggestive it’s through my bowel and rectum. I had a lap in June where they didn’t take any out due to bowel involvement.
I feel like I’m loosing my mind. I feel so low and depressed and struggling to hold it together.
can anyone share their experiences, give me hope or advice?
I’m doing lots of yoga. Taking collagen, vit d, magnesium and calcium.
I’ve previously posted about duloxetine which I’ve now stopped taking because it hasn’t made any difference to my pain. I don’t know what to do with myself anymore

I'm similar to you, due my 2nd injection next week and been in so much pain for the last week. Spoke to my GP and got some codeine for the pain which has really helped. The night sweats have been brutal as well but I don't want to take HRT so will just plough on as best I can. Hoping after the 3months she's prescribed me I can just ask for the hysterectomy. Good luck, hope things improve for you xx
Im on injection 5 and have number 6 next week. It took 3 injections to start to get my life back. No periods and pain no where near as bad.I get a flare here and there but some paracetamol and i feel better, the menopause effects were worse for 3 months aswell.
I know its hard ive been there but i found sticking out till the 3rd as my consultant said takes 8-12 weeks to see some relief. Im also on hrt after the 2nd jab.
The drug stimulates everything first which is why you feel awful. If you have addback HRT too then you'll have a lot of hormones suddenly and and a surge in estrogen which drives endometriosis so it feels like a flare up. Have patience as it does settle once your pituitary gland stops working but it takes a few months. The estrogen may be responsible for your brain fog too and if you've had the coil a while it may nit be providing you with the level of progesterone you need as you'll be estrogen dominant at present. Try not to worry as it should calm down.
