I just wondered if anyone knew how long it can take for endo to return. I had a lap and bowel treatment last year. Everything was going great, but the last couple of wks my stomach has started to ache 😖 and I’ve felt so so tired. My mood has been really bad this wk and not helped with it being ladies time. I’m really good sticking to my gluten and dairy free diet too. I really hope it’s not the start of things to come again 🤦🏻♀️
I’m thinking is it,
Scare tissue? I’m still healing? or endo is back?
Any experience and thoughts 💭 appreciated 😘

Hey, i had my lap 2 months ago and was told I would probably only get 6 months of being symptom free once I woke up, I was also told by my consultant and another doctor in the appointments leading up to it that I would only getvaeound 6 months of being pain free (which I haven’t seen yet just less pain!) so I assume it can start coming back after 6 months of it being removed. As for being super tired I can’t really comment I have been really struggling with that even more than normal since my lap but I also get vitamin deficiencies which doesn’t help
Sorry if that wasn’t much help but I hope after this week you feel a bit better!x
Thanks for your reply, sorry to hear your going through it too. I went to the doctors Monday and she couldn’t do anything just said keep a record of how I feel and maybe get bloods checked if still feel like this. X
Hi, I had a total hysterectomy and all visible endo removed last July, left my ovaries in due to my age, I’m now back with endo pain, seeing my surgeon again next week to talk options, probably have them removed now, don’t think I can cope with the pain anymore. Like the other reply, we are all different, so hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones 😊 take care.
Is it excision surgery?if its bowel involve surgery it would be excesion surgery,my doctor and research said after excision operation 70% of the women will not come in next 3 to 5 years, but some might come early.
But in case of ablation or just laser burning, it will come back very soon mine was in 4 months.
Hi, thanks for your reply. My endo was stuck to my bowel they had to do a bowel shave. Luckily I got away with the colostomy bag. I went to the hospital in August last year and he said my surgery went well and he didn’t need to see me again. I’m surprised i don’t go again for an update since I’ve been waiting for a diagnosis for 5 years 🙈 but I guess they too busy for that. I hope your doing ok x
Hi, just wonder have you had your update from your lap? Hope you feel better. It's really important to go back for update. I didn't go because nobody called me and year after my lap I went for normal scan and they told me that my pelvis is frozen, everything stuck together, litterally worse than before lap. I wish I just went to doctor straight away and demand update. My pain came back the first month after lap. Don't wait for anything. Not every doctor is good.
I'm sure mine has returned already and it's only been three months :/ but I have a friend who has not had any issues and hers has been 8 months. 🤞🏻 For you xx
Thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear your symptoms have started again so soon. Are u back under the hospital? I thought with how long Id had endo and how bad my it was it would be another few years b4 I felt like this again 🙈 x
I am going back to the Dr's next week and hopefully I can get referred 🤞🏻 I know me too!! I guess because noone really knows that much about endo, can they really be sure? I was so confused in the build up to my lap and I'm still a bit lost now haha, I've written down all my questions and complaints ready for my appointment 🤞🏻
I m having a bowel involve endo aswell, my first lapro was ablation n it would come back very soon ,beyond my thinking.
This time I am going for excision surgery , from BSGE hospital, and my doctor gives me a hope that it wil suppose to be not come back until next 5 years, not sure what gonna happen.
Waiting for operation date, every coming day is harder than before.
Wish you good luck ,n I pray for you, you will not come back in this painful condition again.
