Hi everyone, should've done this earlier but weren't ready for it. But here i am now...

Been dealing with painful periods all my life since 13 now 27. Pcos and uterine fibroids.

Through out the years id experience painful periods, painful bowel movements, gastro related pains, sciatica to name a few and been fobbed off with its irritable bowel syndrome and just a bad period

Been back and forth at hospital since march 2018, suspecting endometriosis, prior to this been on so many different contraceptive pills but nothings worked.

Been on trial on microgynon, norethisterone and provera again nothing worked

Had diagnostic laparoscopy in Dec 18 to confirm endometriosis

Had to wait to mid Feb 19’ to find out its stage 4 endomteriosis, suddenly been admitted in to hospital with severe pain to find a 7cm cyst in my right ovary via ultra sound. Ct scan shows endo all over my ovaries and on top of my uterus, and also had an MRI done, waiting on the results of that and felt like i had no choice but to take the menapause injection prostap and now been told i can go home and come back to clinic in April to discuss my MRI which iv refused to go home, i write this whilst laying on my hospital bed.

Am on day 3 of the injection and i got the 3 month one, i cant comment right now how im feeling as i currently am fighting high inflammation crp markers which scored 300 on anti biotics via IV and a painful pelvis due to my cyst and on maximum pain medication and its not even scratching the surface (and they wanted to send me home) once this passes i should be able to explain better how am feeling about the injection.

Please keep in touch hope everyone good health and speedy recovery xx

Hi Love

I will follow you to keep in touch. May go quiet next week as having op for something else. But you can see from my bio that I’ve had it and my eldest daughter has it.

Just want to say, I can hear how scared and lonely and frightened you are. You are not alone. I’m a nurse as well, so I can suggest that how you can possibly go home when you cannot manage this level of pain and only likely to bounce back into hospital. It does not sound like they should be thinking of sending you home at all at the moment. I could understand it if the pain were controlled and you felt better (lowered CRP etc) but you’re not.

Listen Love, you take care and KIT. Sending big hugs. Blessings. Elise xxxx

Hey,

I am also on prostap, been on them for a few months. Everybody is different with them and iv heard some people who hate it and some who love it. I personally think it has helped althought iv had a few blips. sorry to hear your feeling so shit, good for you for standing your ground though!!

Hope all gets sorted soon.

Hi

Provera made things worse for me so I stopped taking it and have just had my Mirena removed as well. I'm trying acupuncture which so far has offered some relief. It's not for everyone I guess but I'm hoping it will continue to help me.

I really hope that you get some treatment that helps you very soon. You are right not to go home while you're in such pain. I hope you get some relief roo.

All the very best

Thank you, is mirena the coil? I refused to get the coil and anything which meant inserting inside, im praying i don't experience hot flushes and so far i haven't, the lack of appetite and feeling sick has resulted in low blood pressure and feeling extremely cold with banging headache, so that's an add on to my current list of pains.

Yes, Mirena is the hormonal IUD. Have you tried ginger for feeling sick? It can be tea, or in soup or smoothie or just ginger beer. It makes a lot of difference to me.
