Provera

Hi, had provera for forced bleeding to do some tests as i never get beriods due to having pcos. It was one off but since then i been having small spotting for few days and then leriod for 5 days and spotting for 2 days and thats been happening every 4 weeks roughly past 4 months.

I have non existent periods and had to take provera to force a period so that I could do my first round of clomid and I've now gotten a natural period after 39 days. Does this mean I could have ovulated on the first round?

My consultant has recommended I go on Provera (10mg twice a day) until I have a hysterectomy at some point in the next year. I’d be on it permanently, so no breaks. I stupidly googled (because apparently I’m a sucker for punishment) and the « clean out » sounds terrifying. Has anyone been on it?

I'm currently taking provera before starting our second IVF round and I've just realised I've only been taking 10mg instead of 20mg for the past 4 days. I've been told to take it for 10 days so now really worried I've messed up getting my cycle in sync and nervous they'll have to cancel the cycle.

Based on my last bleed with provera but ovulated late on letrozole. I have a scan in 2.5 weeks with the fertility clinic. And I am going to self refer to antenal clinic. I am taking folic acid and vit D. I just don’t really know what to do with myself..

I’ve always been prescribed provera or norethisterone before to schedule my bleed so have no true experience of a natural start. I’ve also had tostran and DHEA priming previously though obviously they don’t really alter how you start.

Have any of you experienced that if you've been on depo provera?I think they're panic attacks: racing heart, breathing fast, shaking and almost bursting into tears.

Any experiences of provera is appreciated! I guess onto the waiting game now.

I’m in that awful position of waiting for my period, after it didn’t start and then after taking Provera for 5 days.

I was on a combine pill have to change because of side effect: bleeding for 14 days...depression like symptom, brain fog. So i was prescrire medroxyprogesterone to stop bleeding and restart my period normally. It increased the bleeding for 9 mores days. It also increase the need to pee that the first

I was put on 5mg Provera which made me bleed constantly. So, they upped it to 10mg to see if that did the trick. I was only on it for 14 days and took myself off it because it made me feel so low. That was the end of January.

I don’t react well to any birth control pills, or Provera to regulate my period. I’m still on my period and in a lot of pain and don’t feel like going back to the doctor because there is not much they can do.

My consultant has issued me with provera tablets as treatment. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with taking these? Im a little apprehensive of the possible side effects. Many thanks

Despite having mirena coil in situ, taking provera, tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid the bleeding controlled my life. Nothing stops it! Unable to leave the house I was lucky if got the odd week break.

Unusually I did have period 1st feb had started provera the day before and told to stop. Has this happened to anyone else? What did the clinic say? Did they say to postpone until next cycle. I’m just concerned because I don’t usually have a period often. Thanks

Hi, ive been taking the depo provera for 10 years. I decided to come of it, i had no bleeding for about 2/3 months and now i feel like i haven't stopped either spotting or bleeding. Do i need to just wait for my body to adjust. Im 49 this year

hi all i took 10mg provera for 5 days . Still no sign of period. Its day 3 post provera. When did you get your bleed after provera? Waiting to start letrozole for the first time for fertility. Thanks

I'm really panic, I experienced this problem while on my age of 15 during depo provera injection. I'm virgin why I have this problem?. I'm on the pill why I have period heavy? I searched on internet it showed combination pill makes period litter. But this month heavy on my second day of period.

I got my provera induced bleed yesterday i am instructed to take provera cd2-cd6 and have booked my scan for cd 12 . Would love to hear anyone else’s success or anyone else who is on a similar journey to me right now . We can go through it together? . thanks!
