Thankyou what a blessing 3 boys ! It was such a shock when I was diagnosed I had heavy periods and little cramps here and there other than that nothing I just thought it was normal period pains until one day I woke up In excruciating pain surgeon has prescribed me micrograms a form of contraceptive pill what type of help did you have if you don’t mind me asking ? I’m lucky to have my babies that I am blessed. I’ve had 3 laparoscopies. I had major surgery last year in August to remove a module that was attached to my bowel and vagina the colorectal surgeon stitched up my bowel. My Fallopian tubes have been removed as well visceral skin ( can’t remember the proper name for it) removed. It was a long operation but have pain free until now. I also did a cycle of goserlin and tried many various pills and other contraceptives but none worked for me x

Oh blimey poor you bless you so do you still have your periods ? Are you taking any form of medication. ? I hear people are saying stages but my surgeon in Basildon hospital never told me the stage just said severe endometriosis in my notes I stayed in 10 days little did I know on my notes after my operation I caught an Infection I had antibiotics strong ones had them then went for a blood test came back inconclusive went for another one waiting for results all I know is that’s I have high platlets and low CRP whatever that means xx

Crp is c reactive protein it’s a marker that comes up when there is inflammation in the body such as an infection. I was never given a stage all I know it was bad. I still have periods but I’ve been in agony the last 3 days I’ve been taking ibuprofen and paracetamol inuse to Co cadamol before my op alongside strong a inflammatory medication I’m being started on cerazatte mini pill to see if this helps but I’m not counting my chickens. Endo sucks big time it’s such a painful condition to have 😔xx

I do hope one day there is a cure ! I know it’s a silent dieseas very painful we are speacil ones I suppose we are is the endometriosis diet beneficial because some say yes some say a kid of rubbish others say don’t go mad in diet just cut out dairy products and fill with soya milk coconut milk ? I also read that lavender oil rub around right shoulder and abdominal area is beneficial or in the bath too ? It helps relax me and I sleep better xx

I have a very healthy diet eat plenty of fruit and veg and I exercise regularly. It’s hard because endo can be exhausting physically and mentally with the pain and leaving the house the first few days of having a period is dodgy unless you have spare clothes and underwear due to leaking and overflowing. I’ve never tried the lavender so might be worthy a try xx

in reply to Mrsobrien04

An Indian women suggested lavender oil which I got from Holland and barratts it can be very tiring I’m very tired now and I’ve walked to my local corner shop and back I get down days weather that’s to do with microgyns contraceptive pill or what I don’t know I also hear yoga is good did the pelvis floor and muscle movement I still have my stitches in they’re dissolveable but it’s taking a long tome to go xxx

Mine took a little while to dissolve too. Yoga is great as it relaxing too. I’m dreading starting the mini pill because I don’t know what affect it’s going to have on me xxx

in reply to Mrsobrien04

I’m on the pill it does say weight gain but I don’t believe that as myself and you are eating healthy just chronic tiredness I suppose although I kind of feel I get down days due to my hormones with the microngyns pill but everyone is different what age was you diagnosed and how did you get diagnosed xx ?

I was diagnosed at 23 years old via laparoscopic surgery I’ve 2 other surgeries since the first one. The pill only causes weight gain by over eating my only issue is I have suffered with mental health issues so I would be worried about depression xxx

Oh right I see it’s deffo worth talking to your doctor about if they prescribe any . . Honestly it’s hard work being a women and having endometriosis is such a constant battle and all because of periods I cried when they told me because I thought it was ovarian C because it’s the way they say it to you , I asked the doctor can I have a sex change because I thought I was going to die because I didn’t have a clue what is was ! xxx
