So I just thought I would update everyone after years and years of pain, nothing on any scans, I had a diagnostic laparoscopy today. I have endometriosis!
They found a very big lump of endometriosis tissue on my bowel. As weird as this sounds I am so happy right now, as I have finally been validated, the pain I have/ had has been endometriosis this whole time.
So to anyone that has had scans and they have been absolutely fine nothing found, I plead you to keep fighting you and I know our bodies and we deserve to be validated!
I am not JUST HORMONAL, JUST HAVING PAINFUL PERIODS… I have ENDOMETRIOSIS ❤️

I totally understand why you are happy! I'm awaiting a diagnostic lap after years of pain and clear scans. I'm more worried about them NOT finding anything. Which probably sounds stupid to some!
That’s exactly what I said to my surgeon before I went in, my anxiety was through the roof all because I was waiting for them to tell me there’s nothing there, but WE know when something is wrong! I really do hope they find something for you!! ❤️
So glad you persevered to get the diagnosis! Sadly it takes so long to get diagnosed. It’s sad that we are so easily dismissed. So happy you got answers. I’ve been fighting against ‘bad periods/contraception issues’ and just my body’s response to these two things and finally got diagnosed myself last week. It’s a huge relief isn’t it! Hope you get treatment and feel better soon x 💛
Thankyou! I’m so glad you have too!! I am a little confused now that it’s sinking in though as I’ve been told since day one there’s no cure for it tho 😔 so does that mean we are just going to be taking pain killers and going in and out of hospital to have it removed 😔 x
Sadly it’s just so unknown. A lot of us are in the same boat.
I have a million and one questions but it seems there is no ‘normal’ with endo/adeno.
I’m currently severely bloated to the point I’m more rounded than I was when I was full term with my youngest daughter. It’s all so unknown as to whether this is deemed ‘normal’ or even if there is a normal with these diseases.
The only thing we can do is share our own experiences and hopefully help one another through as so much is still unknown about the conditions.
I genuinely hope you get some more answers and treatment soon. Here’s hoping it’s not severe 🤞🏽🤞🏽💛 x
thank you for sharing, I bet you are so relieved to have a diagnosis! Has the lap helped your symptoms? I have a lap coming up in the next couple of months after years of pain & nervous they won’t find endometriosis or it won’t help the pain. Any tips for pre lap nerves would be so appreciated! Xxx
