I stopped taking medication about a year ago and have done pretty well without it for the most part, however, I've had some recent life events that really make me feel like I need to get back on it. I've tried reading books, exercising more, getting out of my house and making myself walk around my neighborhood even if I'm not up for it, leaving work right at my contracted hours, getting in the sauna at my gym even on days that I can't quite get myself to workout, and making more time for myself and family. My anxiety is at it's worst beginning about two weeks before my menstrual cycle begins. Does anyone else have experience with this? It feels like there is such a strong weight on my chest during those weeks leading up to my cycle. Any advice? I have tried zoloft, welbutrin, and lexapro.

My daughter suffers from PMDD. The doctor recently prescribed lexapro and bc pills. The difference is like Night and day. I also take lexapro for anxiety. I am doing much much better. Wishing you the best. You’re certainly not alone.
Hi! Your are not alone around a week or so before my cycle it gets crazy (chest pain hot flashes heart palpitations arm pain) and usually acts up again when it is about to stop. I rlly want to take a hormone or estrogen test to see if there’s any abnormalities but don’t think too much of it! I did notice once i stopped doing college sports it came more frequent. Green tea and magnesium helps ease the symptoms but we want it to stop entirely!
