I just made an appointment with my doctor to hopefully see about getting some blood work done (a d-dimer) since my calf and thigh has been causing ruckus. It’s in about an hour over FaceTime. My OB said it’s most likely a pinched nerve from the weight gain but I can’t rest until this test comes back negative.. fingers crossed my doctor approves my request for the blood work and everything comes back negative so I can stop obsessing and panicking! 🤞🏼

Wishing you luck that they agree to the blood tests , I cannot see a reason why they should not

Maybe instead of asking put it in a way that you tell them this is what you want and even if they answer they don't thin it is necessary just say well I do

I thin we have a right within reason to as for certain things if we feel we need them

O let me now how the video call goes , I am yet to have one but just the thought makes me thin how strange it will feel , be interested to know what they are like

Hi. I just got off of FaceTime, she is sending the paperwork over now, so I’m heading to get my blood drawn! She said the results will be in by the end of the day.

For me, FaceTime is easy because I’ve had my GP for years and we’re quite close. It’s not my first appointment over the phone but I always look a little goofy because I never get ready for them.

Sounds lie you are not in the UK as you said you will get your results by the end of the day which here it is the end of the day already

Yes that was my thought , I don't like looking at myself and I think everyone looks slightly different on this face time

Lol, no not in UK. it’s lunch time here in US. I sat in the car for forty minutes having a bit of a freak out. Now I’m inside freaking out waiting to be called back. 🤯 I keep getting pains everywhere thinking I’m gonna collapse and die. Or die when they take my blood. Yikes.

You will be fine , will all be over soon and you will not die , never heard of anyone dying having their blood taken and doubt you will be the first x

My luck, I forgot to call before they closed to get the results. So I’ll be calling in the morning. 😕 hopefully everything came back good. I’ve been pretty nervous about it. She said it may come back elevated just due to being pregnant. if so she is willing to take a step further and give me a leg ultrasound to rest my worries.. she said she is sure it’s nothing. Now I’m obsessing over the part of my arm where they took blood. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

anon, the little pin prick that they drew the blood from has already clotted and

is fine at this point. I had a leg ultrasound once and it proved to be nothing but

a muscle cramp. One step at a time. Believe me the doctor's office would have

called you if your test results showed something. It's time for you to relax. This

was another exhausting day. You need some R&R xx

Give us an update tomorrow. I'll be watching for your post.

It just looks a bit bruised. irrational thoughts will be the death of me. I also have my 37 week appointment early in the morning.

It's perfectly normal for the area on your arm to look a little bruised.
