I’m 57. I’ve had anxiety for as long as I can remember. In my late 30’s I was diagnosed with Mixed Anxiety and Depressive Disorder or MADD. Great acronym or not. I’ve read many books, researched many articles, listened to workshops, speakers, been on Anti-anxiety and antidepressant drugs. I’ve had panic attacks that I thought would kill me and felt like heart attacks. I no longer take regular medication but I have a prescription of 5 Ativan at the lowest dose. I got it over a year ago and I still have 2 and 1/2 left:).
