meditation has helped so much with anxiety

hi, all!

i write today about meditation. if you haven’t tried it, or have tried but didn’t notice much of a change, i encourage you to keep trying! usually the first couple times you do it, it might not seem to make a difference, but gradually, you learn so much. by being more mindful of my thoughts, i’ve become more skilled at noticing when i am falling into a thinking trap and allowing myself to let it go. it’s helped a LOT with my anxiety.

i recently started using the app called Balance for meditation because i heard their one-year subscription was free due to covid. the one-year free thing expires on april 15, so if you are interested, make sure to get it before it’s gone! i really like this app — i’ve been using it for 11 days consecutively. it has guided meditations that are personalized to fit your needs. every day, you answer a couple questions and the sessions adjust to your needs. they are short - from 5 mins or 10 mins depending on what you choose. every day, you train upon a skill that is taught or you learn a new one. really cool and amazing. i highly recommend it!!

the app also has specific guided meditations for various needs — moments of anxiety, moments of gratitude, waking up to start the day, commuting, winding down, sleep, etc.! there are so many different guided meditations and it all feels so personal since it adjusts to your needs.

tl;dr: balance is a meditation app on iOS (not android yet unfortunately) and it has a free one year subscription until april 15 due to covid-19. the app has a whole lot of guided meditations that fit to your needs and it’s all very personalized. it’s great for instant anxiety relief and also working on mindfulness. :)

happyclouds, meditation and breathing are the key to my success. It took me

years to find what might work and was surprised that something so simple could

be the answer. I agree with your post and thank you for letting others know, that

help is out there. It does take time and effort on our part but so well worth it. :) xx

I also use meditation with great success. I do it a few times a day on a set schedule. Then in between as needed.

I would be lost without it.

I do lots of meditations on YouTube, I find the honest guys ones for anxiety are the best, they take you off to different places (all guided with very calming voices). They really do calm anxiety right down.

I used to subscribe to headspace & it helped initially but the meditations were repetitive & boring after a while.

Give honest guys a go, where headphones & enjoy 😊

I agree that Honest Guys have very soothing voices that take you

to another state of mind. Just one of my favorites :) xx
