Hi, I am going through the end of a four year relationship... I don’t know if it’s really over and the whole break up is a long story. But I am struggling so badly with separation anxiety from him. I don’t know how to be with out him right now. It’s awful. I can hardly eat, I can’t sleep, I break down crying and have panic attacks. Like I said we are still in contact right now and I don’t know if we are getting back together but I am so anxious all the time! He was my sun and my moon and without him I can’t help but feel a constant state of panic! Regardless of what happens in my relationship I learned that I don’t know how to be happy without others. If it wasn’t him it’s been friends or my family.

Yittle, Separation Anxiety is a real issue. Whatever your future holds, it would
be best for you to see a therapist and work on your issues of dependence of others.
We must love and believe in ourselves before we can have a healthy relationship
with others. Wishing you the best. xx
Thank you for so bravely sharing your struggle with us! I think a good step for you would be to reach out to a counselor that has some training with this. He or she can give you some wonderful tools and insight into steps you can take, ways to find comfort, etc. You are so brave and we are here for you!
