Brain jolts , dizziness.

Hello all , I'm having a rough time . For a long time I've been having what I call a "brain jolt" . It's like my brain has a spasm for just a split second , and my whole body gets hot and weak . I was having these back when I was worked up about an aneurysm/tumor over summer , and they never went away . My c.t scan and MRI were both fine then , my blood tests always come back fine . (I'm at the er all the time) . I'm really getting tired of these , Google says it's anxiety related . But I have them so randomly . I know subconsciously my anxiety is always there , but I feel like these are due to something underlying. Getting really old , anyone going through this?

Hey Justin

First of all you don't seem like any old to me ;)

Secondly, can you describe your attacks a bit more?

A neurologist would be best to advise you

It can be from withdrawing from a anti depressant or anxiety medication.

Oh okay well i'm not sure where else it can stem from. Definitely keep seeking answers. Wishing you the very best. Stay strong and don't give up until you get answers. That's a scary situation to go through i think.

Justin, I feel as if your brain has made this a daily habit upon yourself, and so that’s the premise behind it. Your mind realizes you fear it, and so it subjects it to you at a daily or weekly basis. I think the only way to fight it is to not fear it, even though I would fear it myself if that occurred.

Hey a Justin, I have these all the time. They are called myoclonus jerks. I get reticular reflex myoclonus where my whole body jerks and it feels like a bolt of lighting hit you and my whole body jumps. It can happen in any part of the body or the whole body. I get every day and they are unpleasant but not dangerous. Google it.. Hope this helps x
