Was feeling so optimistic and now I'm back to square one.

So following on from my Vit D deficiency diagnosis I was started on treatment that was due to last 3 months. During this time I still got bouts of nausea, chest pain, tiredness, and developed new symptoms such as dry corners of my mouth and petechiae on my arms chest and legs. I was referred back to my GP who ran further blood tests including a coagulation screening for clotting disorders all came back fine bar one blood test that showed my ferritin level was on the border so I took 30 days worth of iron tablets.

Last week I was told that my vitamin d levels have now returned to normal in fact they appear to now be on the high side of normal which is great but I am still experiencing so many of the same symptoms including aches and pains, pain and discomfort in chest, acid reflux , skipped heart beats etc. along with the above. The GP has advised I no longer take the vit d supplements but I have begun to digress and now my anxiety is at an all time high that something else - more sinister - is occuring.

I paid for the push doctor service today and spoke to a doctor who believes I am suffering from reflux and ibs - she prescribe me lansoprazole to see how I go so this is my next stage however I have read all sorts about the impact this drug can have on your body, your vit d levels, iron levels and magnesium stores - all of which I seem to have a probolem with or have had a problem with.

I just want this nightmare to end - I have random crying bouts where I just feel so lost and helpless and genuinely full of fear that my life is ended and I am dying - I even out of nowhere I have scenarios run through my head where I am told I have cancer and not long to live.. I have a 9 month daughter who is my world and the thought of leaving her is just torture for me. I know that none of you can really offer any guidance or whatever but I just needed to share my story and get this all off my chest.

Thank you for listening.

Hi Kellylou, yes it is difficult to help with solutions however it's good to get it off your chest somehow. You definately sound as if you have a good grasp on things, maybe look into the vit d and the weakening of by taking the thing for your acid as it is very possible you are right.

All those things can play havoc with your mood and anxiety. Just keep in mind that you are not very well at the moment due to this ibs, don't despair.

But yeah maybe go to doctors and seek some help.
