Hi Yogurt69, I have been in a deep depression for the past year and ended up getting a small stomach ulcer from all the stress and not eating and losing 48 lbs. The dr sent me for endoscopy and he prescribed Pepcid 40mg and Sucralfate (a prescription). My stomach ulcer healed after about 3 months and now I'm sinking into the black hole and cannot eat and will probably need Pepcid again before I burn another hole in my stomach. Depression and anxiety can do awful things to the body. I've also developed heart problems. I hope your stomach feels better. Thanks for sharing.

As with any medication, different things work for different people. PPI's used to work for me, but no longer. Sulcrafate doesn't work anymore either, nor does Dexilant. Luckily right now I don't need any of them except an occasional Tums.
