Has anyone else been through this?

My gut health has gone south on me really quickly. Feels inflamed, hurts, and have not stuck to my normal diet which was pretty healthy. Is anxiety causing this? I had an endoscopy earlier this week and my results were normal. They gave me a bottle of Mylanta (which hasn't helped) and sent me on my way. Am I alone on this? I'm losing my way of life here.

They should have gven you a Proton Pump Inhibitor duch as Omeprazole or Lansoprazole which would have helped you much better. I take Lansoprazole at the highest dose and it really does help an awful lot because anxiety symptoms can cause all the stomach problems you are having. Its good news that you got the all clear with your endoscopy just like I did and I was told that anxiety symptoms, anxiety disorders and stress can all cause stomach acid. I would talk to your doctor about this. Hope it helos you.😊

Thanks for your reply. I’m on protonix at the highest dose as well and it’s not phasing my symptoms. That’s why I’m wondering if this is anxiety related.

I did have a traumatic event happen to my family this past fall and I’m starting to wonder if this is all connected.

Well there could be a connection there somewhere. Best to ask your doctor and discuss it with them. Hope this helps.

You’re not alone. Every time I deal with panic flare-ups, I quickly develop GI issues that put me out for days afterward. Managing your stress will be the first tool but once that’s handled, you can focus on a better diet for gut health. I drink a lot of ginger tea. It’s great for inflammation and toxicity.

When I stressed, I always have pain in my stomach, go back to you healthy diet , keep stress levels down, and you will feel much better, it will take a little time❤️

That was Me, but my doctor said I had inflammation. I took ant acids too. Didn’t work. I researched the internetTaTa...lemon-ginger tea/probiotics. You have To use it religiously. It WORKED!!! I’ve been without Any stomach issues for months now my sister tried it, but she wasn’t consistent in using it. It’s Not easy to find, their always sold Out. Usually Walmart had it, last time I looked there wasn’t any, you need to look online. Maybe you can find it at a tea shop or something ?

Had similar problem. Digestive disease physician prescribed drugs that were very helpful. Additionally, decseased anxiety as resolved a heart issue.

I'm on strong painkillers but stressed out waiting for a mini-operation with no assurance it will reduce the pain. The painkillers cause problems with both ends of my digestive system but the stress seems to play a big part too. I've lost confidence with the doctors since no medication seems to help. Many times I wake and I lay there with one worry after another.
