Nexium

when I was getting off of years of Nexium and then omeprazole my research showed that I could take DGL. It coats the stomach and doesn’t raise blood pressure.

Dr prescribed Nexium which is good for reflux but did nothing for these symptoms. Gaviscon works briefly but symptoms come back. This has been going on for 6 months 24 hrs a day. I’m desperate for answers. Any advice or help gratefully received. Cheers Mark

My symptoms and PA were caused by Nexium prescribed by Doctors for GERD for over 8 years continuously. I believe I have zero stored B12. I’m looking for initial load dosing but will continue to take a daily shot before I go to bed until further notice.

Doctor has me on nexium thinking it’s silent reflux. Since starting tablets 2 days ago it seems to have moved down into my neck/throat but the cough is more controllable.

I've been dealing with stomach acid by using nexium for years along with diet low in acid. About two weeks ago decided to eat onion rings. Mistake got the worst acid ever nexium 8 tums knocked it down. Next morning though nose was super stuffed up and threw up small amount of bile.

I let my guard down cause I thought hey 50 is good so I went off diet went back on some Advil for pain ( only if I have to) and Nexium. My weight has also dropped 8 pounds in 3 weeks I’m under 100 pounds now. I don’t feel hungry at all . Scant urine. ?

I have acid reflux, and I’m on Nexium 10 daily. In the last few months my folate has dropped below the low end of the range. I’m wondering if anyone else has this and is it related to PBC or Nexium. I don’t have anaemia. Thank you

Started back 2 months ago along with Nexium 2/d.

My Gastroenterologist had me on Nexium for 20 years, as my body produces a lot of stomach acid. Three years ago, my vertebrae started to break. Bone Density Scan showed me with severe osteoporosis. I just had my ninth vertebrae fracture.

Some of the other drugs listed are also helpful such as I will switch off Nexium and use Prilosec or Famotidine for my acid reflux and others that I confirmed with pharmacist> Thank yuou PMR Pro and Winfong I will start it tonight - Hopefully moderately lactose intolerance, severe reflux and colitis

Anti sickness tablets are helping and taking tablets with food as well, but am considering when I see my doctor asking about nexium/ omeprazole etc as this is starting to become a problem . Any advice please would be gratefully received best wishes to all Puppy43

I take Nexium 20 twice a day and Famotidine 40 every evening and oodles of antacid things. Since I have been in France and walking lots more and lots of water and amazing fresh produce, stomach has been doing pretty well. Don't want to ruin that.

If you could only continue with just one alternative PD therapy, what would it be? (My rather gauche attempt to pick your brains and not re-invent the wheel.) For me, it's MCT oil. What about you?

I have taken Nexium for a few years to control bouts of Acid Reflux. About 2 months ago, I started getting severe attacks, which felt like a heart attack. (I had my heart checked last year, and all was good) so I knew it or believed it was Acid Reflux.

I took over the counter meds, then went to prescription meds Nexium, but then this past few months it got worse so was prescribed Rabeprozole. I am sure what has made it worse, is that since COVID I started to drink more alcohol.
