Hi, I wonder if anyone is feeling the same way I am. I’ve had both my Covid vaccinations but am still feeling so anxious and tense. I wake each morning with that feeling of dread in my stomach, and can’t seem to get my hands to stop shaking. I just wonder when this feeling will end or even if it will. Finally found a therapist who I’ll see next week. It’s been so difficult to find anyone available this past year. I long to feel myself again.

When will this feeling of dread end?
Congratulations Gadzukes on getting your two vaccinations. The feeling of dread
will end when you stop anticipating what may happen next. Waking up in the morning should be a time of rejoice that we get another day to live out our lives. With anxiety, we
tend to wake up worrying about the things that MAY happen and most of the time they
don't. We need to be more positive in our way of thinking. Staying in the present moment can help. Venturing into the future just brings us more fear.
We must learn to accept today for what it is. We must realize that we have choices in being
afraid or living our life the best we can. Each day is a present given to us. I always try to make each day count so that when I go to sleep at night, I can relax knowing I did the best I could. xx
Did you have this before your shots? For me dread day of weather makes my depression much worse
Absolutely I’m up in age and have been terrified of Covid for over a year now.
Me to. I have COPD MY HUSBAND HAS HEART FAILURE. ((Sorry cap was lock on. ) Plus his arteries are really bad. And COPD. My granddaughter just got married in mexico. I guess they rented a some place to house all her husband family's. It turn out many was tested positive for covid-19. She been mad at us for a year cause we told her we weren't going. First cov 19 and our health. We both trouble getting around here, no way the rushing of flying, bags suits cases, lay over then the hike on rocky cliff and upstairs 28 steps to the bedrooms. Then didn't bother telling any of us. Then when my grandson call us to pickup their dogs told me to put them outside he couldn't come in because they been exposed to cov 19. Gave information he knew. So we got a hold of our son and told him cuz he high risk to. So he had to have them find how they were getting her mom home that live with us put was told she was going to have to be on lockdown at her daughter house. But she mad at us for cuzing drama for them. This generation they just don't get it and they think it's all lies. Butt I'm very greatfull and thankful for the the Lord help us to stand our grounds with her. So I'm with u. I got 1st shot next month 2nd same with my husband. Sorry for so long. So what going on with you. Hope we talked soon. Good night
So sorry you’re family hasn’t been understanding. I’m very lucky in that regard. Jesus it’s been so hard being at high risk from this disease. A friend of ours died two days ago from it. My family has taken this very seriously because they know if I get it I’m a goner. Just finding it hard to adjust to being able to be around them again. Sounds so silly when I even say it. I guess it’s just going to take some time for the fear to pass. The depression is still here big time, but hopefully that will begin to ease up too. This has just been the absolute pits for people who already fight with anxiety and depression. Take care, I hope the family issues get resolved.
I sorry for the lost of your friend. I know how your depression is taking a told on you, many of us. I'm praying for peace so we can see our great grandkids that the oldest is bestie with her papa ❤️. She only 4. She doesn't understand why she can't be with us. Last night I sat on the couch to way into the morning with my husband head ony lap crying because he miss his side kick. We both are wearing down fast. Thank you. I'll be praying 🙏🙏🙏
Yes, I've experienced what you have described. An overwhelming feeling of dread.
To answer your question, I really haven't gotten past the feeling of dread. To make matters worse, some overwhelming things have happened lately which of course makes the feeling of dread worse!
