Got the results of my stress echocardiogram: heart is just fine, despite repeated spells of ridiculous labored breathing, nausea and vertigo. So I gotta assume anxiety attacks. Been through this before. My question: Is it safe for me to drive a lot? I’m a nomad, and it’s getting cold here ... time to move south. But I don’t wanna be a hazard on the road. Is there something I should do/be doing to reduce the likelihood of an attack?
Plus, is it unusual to have anxiety attacks without consciously experiencing anxiety/fear/panic ?

I think the best thing is to ask your doctor if it is okay for you to drive. They will know better then anybody. Anxiety is weird as you can have physical symptoms without mental ones. I have heard of many people having heart palpitations due to anxiety yet they never knew the reason.
He called Tuesday morning and discussed my options. While urging me to seek further assessments (to rule out anything else - heart is fine) he said travel would probably be ok, just to avoid stress. 😄
