I am now post-menopausal and have not donated blood for nearly 15 years but this past year have started bruising very easily, often without any obvious cause, should I add something like Thorne Ferrasorb or could it take my iron levels too high?

These are my latest fasting results:

Helsbells68 Amongst other things, easy bruising can be caused by high cortisol. Have you had your cortisol level checked recently? Have you started HRT (which can elevate cortisol levels)?

I have only just been prescribed HRT, Evorel Conti patches at the end of November, the bruising started long before this.

The only time I have tested my cortisol levels was a saliva test nearly 10 years ago.

Hi, if you've started bruising easily it is worth getting checked out by GP as there are various potential causes. Although you're not anaemic your ferritin is low especially given you are post-menopausal, but before supplementing with iron I would go for a checkup.

I bruise at once if I have the slightest amount of Vitamin E/ also known as A -Tocopherol.
