That does not sound like a good idea. The difference is too great, must be very unsettling for your body. Why not 4x125 and 3x100? Although looking at your FT4 result, 7x100 might be better. Your FT4 is much too high, and you are a poor converter. And very often people find that their conversion improves when they lower their FT4. But having a more equal distribution of doses throughout the week might also help.
I was on 100x7 but was getting headaches. Do you think I need to go back to that dose? I thought upping my levo again would raise my T4, is this not the case? Thanks so much for your help.
Upping your levo has raised your T4. It's your T3 that is too low. Your T4 is now too high and that is not good. Most of it is converting to rT3 and very little to T3. This is what happens when the FT4 gets too high.
That said, you are a poor converter, anyway, so you probably need some T3 added to your levo. Are you self-treating?
Sorry you said 7x100 might be better than the dose I am taking, is this not the case? My doctor thinks I am on 100 per day but I lowered it of my own accord by 100 per week.
Oh dear, I knew I'd tie myself in knots, attempting maths! lol Yes, I got that all wrong, didn't I. Sorry. I'm hopeless at maths and it seem to be getting worse with age!
Point is, your FT4 is too high. on 5x100 2x50 per week. Myself, I would be inclined to try 75 mcg x 7, and if that's not enough, add in 25 mcg once or twice a week.
So, your FT4 was even higher on 100 mcg a day? Long-term high FT4 is not good. Not only does it convert to more rT3 than T3, but it also increases your risk of cancer and heart problems.
Not dangerous but increase your risk of certain other diseases. But it will also be making your conversion worse as you can see for yourself by comparing your results from last year and this year. Your FT4 has only gone up slightly, but your FT3 has dropped quite a lot.
I think you might have misread my dose. At present I take 100 for 5 days and 50 for 2 days. I take on board that it might be better that this dose was more even.
