Vit D down on 2000 iu/day

Rest of results below. TSH would be a delight for GP I imagine but the test flagged Helen up as pre diabetic, but this was a non fasting test, and won’t affect cholesterol testing which I reckon is OK. Thoughts please. Interestingly, both my sister (62) and Mum 86 have both been flagged as possibly pre diabetic even this is non fasting. Why are doctors going mad on this?

We could do with some emphasis on Thyroid issues.

Colloidal Silver has been recommended by a member or two of the forum but one of the sites that sells it says it might affect Levothyroxin absorption.

Have any members with sinus issues who used it had any problems?

We really only need to see the thyroid and vitamin results. The rest just confuses.

So increase to 3,000iu vit d + K2 to raise level to 100-150.

Theres only TSH & FT4, no FT3 so cant tell if she is converting.

TSH is over 1.

How is Helen?

FT4 is only 61% of range so she is ready for next dose increase.

Is she supplementing B12 & folate? Latest test results?

Unwell. No B12 & Folate, what makes would you recommend & quantities?

Test results (Missed out!)

Without a blood result quantities are hard to judge. Suggest she gets B12 & folate tested.

Her B12 level is actually very low as the range for B12 has a cut off point thats too low.

Low B12 will impact fatigue and a range of other symptoms significantly.

Does she have symptoms of B12 deficiency? The reference range for B12 is very wide and cut off point too low. theb12society.com/signs-and...

If you do then you should discuss this with your doctor for further tests for Pernicious Anaemia.

If not, then start with a methyl B12 sublingual spray or lozenge for a week, then add a good B complex. Once you run out of the separate B12 just continue with the B complex.

There is too much about colloidal silver that means it would take forever to read through it all.

But:

It does have numerous antibacterial properties.

It does have the possibility of causing numerous side effects/adverse reactions including argyria and iron deficiency!

Here is a search to wander through:

Her TSH is too high, and her cholesterol is high, so the odds are her FT3 is too low. Funny how they do all those tests and yet leave out the most important one: FT3! Because that is going to affect all the others. And they don't want you to know what that is because you might start asking awkward questions - like: can I have some T3, please?!

Her potassium is also on the low-side - eat more bananas! :)

My thoughts entirely when I saw the list ordered. In addition to bananas (we have one for breakfast everyday) and increasing Vit D3, starting Vit B12, K2, & folate, anything else? What sort of B12 and also should it be stopped before testing? Anything else taht should be stopped before testing.

K2 and magnesium should be taken with vit D. JayDee tells you all you need to know about B12 and Folate. But don't need to stop the B12 before a test but a B complex you do, due to the biotin - just a couple of days. Apart from that, depends what you're testing.

Can't think of anything else you need to know. :)
