Went back on antidepressants after being off them for 2 years - sleep deprivation and anxiety were crippling me. My bone scan result was very concerning as there have been severe degenerative changes and my spine is a mess so have been put back on Alendronic Acid by my GP so my first question is whether I should still take Vit D/K2 as well now? Not sure from the two different tests what my Ferritin is doing - any thoughts? Stopped taking Vit B12 as advised on here and have been taking Methyfolate instead so can't understand why I now have a lower level than a year ago - more thoughts? CRP doesn't surprise me at all as I've been in a lot of pain with lower back and shoulder for 9 months now but was informed by the spinal unit that the scoliosis hasn't worsened - thank goodness for that as I've already lost 3" in height and didn't want to become a dwarf! I'm now thinking that I may well have psoriatic arthritis as I did have scalp psoriasis for years which has now started up on my elbows and apparently I also have mild COPD so more blood tests coming up to see if I could be right. Meanwhile any advice you kind people can give me on thyroid and vitamin levels would be very much appreciated (currently taking 1 1/2 grains of Armour daily and wouldn't let hospital endo change my medication to levo plus T3 as sooooooooo scared of being under his control). Thank you all so much!

Hi Delgor, so sorry to hear you are suffering. I’m not an expert but hopefully by replying I’ll bump your message up and someone with the knowledge will spot it and reply. If you confirm your diet (gluten/dairy/veggie etc) and what time of day your tests were, fasting? Last dose of Armour before etc that will save time. Wishing you well. 🦋💚🦋
Hi Regenallotment, Thank you for replying! Yes I went dairy and gluten free over 18 months ago and I took my second intake of Armour 12 hours before testing. I should perhaps mention here that I may well have been overmedicating for years as I was never made aware of the testing protocol until I joined this forum. I also want to mention that my GP of years ago told me I had Graves Disease because I had gone overactive before having the thyroidectomy but I'm now not sure she was right with everything that I have read. Kept mostly well and was very active until a couple of years ago so I can't complain but obviously things aren't going right now and I'm trying to find out why.
Hi Pennyannie, Good to speak to you again. I left 12 hours before taking the test. The latest results came as a big surprise as I've always had a TSH of 0.1 and both the T3 and T4 are both lower than I've ever had before. I just don't understand how my folate has decreased when I wasn't even taking any a year ago (I was on B12 only). There seem to be two different ranges for the ferritin ....... I'm really gobsmacked at the bone scan results as they've worsened considerably in the past 3 years and I don't know why except that everything seems to have gone haywire since the pharmacist told me to come off the AD's - at least I now know I don't suffere with depression but definitely anxiety and don't tolerate stress well.
Sorry for late reply - internet has been down. I'm not even sure I've got GD - was just told this by my then GP when I went overactive but never told by the hospital. Both antibody tests haven't helped as they are both low and I obviously went under active after thyroidectomy. Still think the pain is arthritis related because of the stiffness I have if I sit down for a while but we shall see. Thanks again for replying.
