Once again I’ve paid for an Advanced Thyroid Function Test from Medichecks! As I’m having to wait a month to speak to my doctor on the telephone, then would have to a wait a further 2 weeks to get an appointment to have a blood test which is inadequate in its outcome, I thought I’d have the results to discuss with him! As an aside the GP Practice I am registered with does not allow Face to Face appointments unless the doctor specifies.
Any here are my results:

No haven’t had dose increased, have been on 100mg for at least 3 years. My Gp hasn’t seen the results, have a telephone appointment on 19th August. The test was completed as recommended by the forum. No, I don’t feel well, the problem I have is constant discomfort in my chest and neck, I am constantly hungry, if I don’t eat regularly I get hot and sweaty and very lighted headed. I have been prescribed Rabeprazole to help with my digestion, but it does not help. One of the doctors in the practise tested me for a gut bacteria, but this was negative, but he didn’t pursue the problem.
I have stopped taking Proton Inhibitor and have just started taking Vitamin C tablets, I read on here that it could be low stomach acid not high as doctor suggests.
Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule)
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
