Here are my results from 22 May 2020, taking 75 mcg Levothyroxine.

TSH 0.212 0.27 - 4.2

T3 4.08 3.1 - 6.8

T4 15.00 12 - 22

Folate 9.8 > 3.89

Vitamin B12 125.0 > 37.5

Vitamin D 112 50 - 175

Ferritin 322 13 - 150

I started 50 mcg Levo on 23 Jan 2020. My results on 5 March were.

TSH 2.01

T3 3.58

T4. 16.00

Folate 9.55

Vitamin B12 101.0

Vitamin D 92.1

Ferritin 293

I have been taking Vitamin D3 1000 iu and Vitamin B12 Methylcobalamin 1000 ug. I forgot about folate but will supplement from now on. Asked GP about my Ferritin but he said it wasn't a problem. Should I increase to 100 mcg Levo? I just want to thank everyone on this forum, I am learning so much.

How are you feeling?

You're moving in the right direction but still on a relatively low dose, so I would be inclined to try a little more levo, if you're not feeling tip-top - perhaps alternating 75 mcg and 100 mcg initially. Your free T3 and free T4 are still quite low in range - 26.5% and 30% respectively - so there's plenty of scope to increase

Hi fuchsia-pink, I'm not feeling any better really, although after about the first 7 to 10 days of taking the Levo my mood did improve and my husband noticed as well. That still fluctuates atm. Yes I was hoping to see my T3 and T4 towards the higher end of range. OK alternating 75/100 seems like a plan. Thank you.

I would have thought that 100 mcg daily would be more appropriate given your levels. Your FT4 is still very low. You shouldn't dose by the TSH, that will just keep you sick. It's the FT3 the most important number.

Hi greygoose. Ah ok, I must admit I was a bit taken aback that my TSH fell from 2.01 to 0.212 with just an increase of 25mcg, it knocked my confidence of what I was doing. Also it was a finger prick test which I was all fingers and thumbs with and not thinking I had done it properly. I have recently been reading here on the forum about suppressed TSH. Thank you.

Previous post shows high ferritin...but not as high as now

Exactly what vitamin supplements are you currently taking?

Definitely not taking anything with iron in?

High ferritin can be due to inflammation of Hashimoto’s

Hi SlowDragon, I'm not taking any iron, I stopped the multivitamins on the forum's advice. I'm on B12 and Vit D and just bought folate 400 ug to take. I did ask my GP for an ultrasound but he said no. I didn't know about hashi's and ferritin. I'll work on getting my vitamins well up in range. Thank you.
